Hello, and a happy National Novel Writing Month to those of you participating!
I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. It was good luck that this shorter chapter just so happened to coordinate with November. I've spent a lot of my time writing fresh scenes this month, so it was nice to have a little less to do on the editing side.
Chesterfield continues to come together! A year ago, I had a handful of scenes written and only a hint of a plot. Now, I'm up to chapter eleven in the story's chronology - 175 pages! I'm proud to say this is the most that I have ever written continuously on one single project. I've learned so much in the process, and I continue to find something new every time I sit down at the keyboard.
Thanks for reading, and for sticking with me on the journey! Putting my words out into the world has been daunting, but ultimately such a joy.
Best of luck to my fellow writers out there! I'll see you on the other side of NaNoWriMo.
