On the sea world of Lycia, goddesses were born. Their name would be remembered as Gaia and Pandora, the supreme goddesses of creation and life.

Within this world of water, Gaia created and shaped the land and soon covered it with plants and tree, while Pandora created various races of people and animals is to inhabit and live on the newly created land. After everything was set, the two goddesses let their creations loose and began to watch over the young world.

Over time, the two goddesses began to notice that they could not keep track of everything happening in Lycia. They then created other young gods and goddesses to help them. Each god and goddesses had their own respective traits such as blacksmithing, hunting, agriculture, war, magic, etc.

As the world looked to be moving forward in the proper direction, something else appeared that could lead it towards the path of destruction. Discrimination.

The dragons thought themselves as kings due to their enormous strength and powerful abilities.

The humans believe themselves to be the rulers of the world because of their exploding population and incredible learning potential.

Various types of beastmen thought they could overcome any foe with their physical capabilities.

Dwarfs wanted to control all of the world's resources.

Lastly, the elves hated the other races because of their violent personalities.

Like how mothers care for their children, the goddesses cared for the world they created and its inhabitants. They wanted to see how their creations would grow and develop. However, also like mothers, they feared their children harming with each other. Deaths and fights were inevitable, but too much on a grand scale could bring Lycia towards its destruction.

The gods and goddesses they created earlier had little effect in pacifying everyone’s behavior so they decided to create two new beings to help them manage the world’s conflict.

Using what’s left of their power, each goddess birthed the two gods, one male and one female, which caused them to fall into a deep slumber. This marked the birth of the young goddess of light, Thiera and the young god of darkness Arah.

Since their creation, single families came together to become villages, villages evolved into towns, towns to cities, and then many cities grew to kingdoms and empires, establishing their own countries.

Battles and wars continuously raged on, causing many countries to rise and fall. It was not until a period where each race each had one united government did the world begin to have some sense of peace.

The firstborn had long passed on and now their descendants are assuming the roles of their predecessors. However, due to the differences in strength and appearances, the tensions between the countries were high. The wars that had happened in the past could not compare to the size of this one.

Arah and Thiera never interfere with the happenings on Lycia, believing that fights and battles here and there was inevitable for any world. However, now that the races were preparing for a war on a global scale, they had to personally intervene. Knowing that a race war would greatly damage the world, Thiera and Arah used their power bestowed by their mothers and created a new irreversible rule.

Arah spread darkness all around Lycia and made it so that almost everyone had some darkness in their hearts, some more than others. A person or animal with too much darkness in within themselves would later morph becoming demons, beings whose sole purpose was to eliminate every living being.

Thiera would also bestow portions of her power to those throughout the world, giving some individuals the power of light, the best power to use against the demons. She also bestowed the power of healing, to minimize the number of deaths.

Their hope was that with the threat of a large force of demons, the races would be dissuaded from fighting each other and give them an objective they all needed to work towards to achieve. These people would work together and slay every demon, leaving the world back to what it was, except with everyone standing on a more united front.

However, after they had spread their power of darkness and light, they learned that there was still discrimination between the races and they could not properly combat the demons. This meant that even if all the demons would be slain, the world’s population would greatly diminish and that too many lives would be lost.

People with their newly given powers were not sent to aid everyone in need but instead were retained by their respective governments to protect the elites, leaving those at the bottom of the social hierarchy to fend for themselves.

As the war spiraled forward uncontrollably, cities were falling one-by-one, homes were being destroyed, and many children were orphaned if not killed. When the races finally stood as a complete united force and sent the light magic users and healers to aid in the war, the casualties of the war were already way more than it needed to be.

After long years of fighting, along with many sacrifices, the demons were finally contained and there was no longer a major threat to the land of Lycia. However, years would be needed to be spent rebuilding.

The cost of the Demonic War was too high and now it would be permanently scarred within the minds of the people and on the world.

Reflecting on their actions, Thiera and Arah began to study the races to figure out what they could do so that what had taken place during the First Demonic War would never happen again.
