"Miyu huh? That's a pretty name and really unique."
"Yeah, it is," she nods her head with a sense of pride.
"So, are you ready to tell me what happened?"
"Yeah, I'm ready."
She sits down next to me and my nose gets a waft of sweat and a tinge of filthiness. How long has it been since she showered? Before I can even think of what's been going on she starts revealing to me what happened.
"After our talk at the park I went home, and I confronted my mom about what's been going on and how I felt mentally after dealing with so much nonsense. Before I could even properly finish explaining to her how I felt she just smacked me across the face so hard that she busted my lip open. Unable to deal with it all I crumbled and just ran away that night. For a little bit, I was out living on the streets because I couldn't deal with it and I was scared about telling you what happened."
"Why were you scared of telling me what happened?" I state those words as I held her hand a bit tighter to show security.
"I don't know. I just felt as if I was completely in the wrong for running away. Honestly, I can't even think of a good reason why I was thinking that." she lets out a big sigh to show disappointment in herself.
A few minutes of silence starts to creep on us before she continues to talk.
"So, after a few days, I decided that I didn't want to go back home, but I also didn't want to continue living by myself outside. So I finally decide to come to you and here we are."
"Wow, that sure sounds like a crazy ride. I'm just glad you're okay and nothing happened to you.
There is one question that needs to be answered and that's where are you going to stay for now?"
As those words came out, deep down inside I already knew the answer but was scared to accept what was going to happen for some reason. Yet I was happy and ready to accept the reply I knew she was going to say.
"With you," timidly those words came out.
Time stood still for a moment when those words came out of her mouth. Not really sure why but I was scared of what was going to happen, but also excited. I didn't really have much of a choice here. Telling her no would probably end up with her vanishing for good and I didn't want that.
"Sure you can stay with me for now until we figure out what we're going to do."
"Thank you! I promise I won't cause any problems," she said with a smile so bright it lights up the darkness within my heart.
-A few days later-
It's been a few days since Miyu moved in with me and at first, it was a bit awkward having a female stay with me. The first few days were filled with buying her new clothes and letting her feel comfortable in my apartment. My apartment wasn't too big, but I did have two bedrooms one of which I was using as a storage room. We fixed it up and now it's all organized and personalized just for her. Whenever I pass by her room I look inside and see how girly it is. Her walls are decorated with posters of her favorite bands, the bed is dripped in pink sheets, comforter, pillows, and blankets. Pink must be her favorite color. This all felt weird as if I was stuck in my dreams that were everlasting. Never would I think this type of situation would happen to me. Nonetheless ever since she started to stay with me I kept having some really weird dreams that were creeping me out. In them, I would wake up in this void where all I would hear were muffled screams. They sounded like a banshee screaming for its dear life. Then all of a sudden I would see this big sphere floating in the middle of a room connected to a computer. Right next to the computer there was a figure just standing there looking back at me. Unable to see who it was I moved forward and the moment I tried to get a good look I woke up. For some reason, I get this feeling that something is going to happen in the future.
As I sit back I take in the fresh air that surrounds me.
"It's such a beautiful day to be outside in this park."
"Takeruuuuuuu!! Come over here real quick."
In a panic, I get up from the park bench and I run over to Miyu who is behind some trees.
"Miyu are you okay?!"
"Yeah, I am I just saw this little ladybug and I wanted some help in capturing it."
I let out a big sigh glad that nothing serious happened but I'm upset she screamed for me to rush over.
"I don't think it's a good idea to capture the ladybug."
"Why not?"
"Well even though it's a small insect, it's still a lifeform and to capture a lifeform against their will no matter how small they are is wrong. If you're not going to use that lifeform for anything other then displaying it, I think it's wrong."
