Chapter 2 - Fighting Over A House!

He is a rank 1 martial core cultivator. Su Jun raised the corners of his lips, forming a slight smile on his face. This might be an excellent chance to see just how strong I am. “How about a duel? The one that wins gets to keep the house,” Su Jun said with a slight smile on his face.

Cui Ni narrowed his eyes, “A duel for the house?” he said questioningly, and injected his Qi into his eyes; they widened from shock, and his mouth opened slightly. “Rank 4 martial mortal? How is that possible? How are you in the inner sect?” he mumbled with shock in his voice.

In response to three Cui Ni’s questions, Su Jun raised his left arm, and scratched his left cheek with his left hand’s index finger as he said, “Well, I won an outer sect tournament, and I was promoted to the inner sect.” Cui Ni nodded his head in understanding, and Su Jun stopped scratching his cheek and lowered his left arm to his side, “So about our duel? Do you accept?”

Cui Ni once again narrowed his eyes, if he won a tournament with that cultivation base, then his strength should be above rank 6 martial mortal. No, even above rank 7 martial mortal. But that doesn’t matter. He won’t beat me, a rank 1 martial core cultivator… But why do I even have to accept? That house is mine. I have been living and cultivating in it for a year already… But then again, this arrogant newbie needs to be taught a good lesson. “Very well, let’s fight for the house,” he said.

Su Jun nodded his head, “Should we fight here, or do we go to the arenas?”

Cui Ni shook his head, “Here is fine.” It will only take a moment after all.

Su Jun nodded his head again, “Alright,” he said, and they both took their fighting stances. A quarter of the second passed, and they both moved from their positions, but Cui Ni was the faster one. Appearing in front of Su Jun, he punched without holding anything back, but without using any of his skills.

Su Jun saw the incoming punch and narrowed his eyes; he activated his movement skill <Swift Crane>. His speed accelerated above that of a rank 9 martial mortal cultivator, just reaching the speed of a rank 1 martial core cultivator, and he managed to dodge Cui Ni’s punch just by a single hair. Cui Ni widened his eyes from shock, what?! He dodged?! How is that possible?! How can a rank 4 martial mortal cultivator, dodge a punch from a rank 1 martial core cultivator?! That doesn’t make any sense!

After dodging the punch and while Cui Ni was in his thoughts, Su Jun punched, shouting, “Tiger’s Punch!”

*BAM!* Su Jun’s punch collided with Cui Ni. But even so, Su Jun was the one to be pushed back, and not the other way around. Su Jun furrowed his eyebrows, and Cui Ni widened his eyes from shock even more, that punch! It was of the strength of a rank 9 martial mortal! How is that possible? How can a rank 4 martial mortal be strong as rank 9 martial mortal? How can a rank 4 martial mortal be as fast as a rank 1 martial core cultivator!

Let’s try something stronger, Su Jun thought and moved using his movement skill <Swift Crane>. He appeared in front of Cui Ni and punched, shouting, “Whirling Dragon Punch!”

*BAM!* Su Jun’s punch collided with Cui Ni while he was in his thoughts again. But this time the results couldn’t be more different. Su Jun wasn’t pushed back, but Cui Ni was. He was pushed back while coughing out a mouthful of blood.

Su Jun raised the corners of his lips, smiling, it seems that with the <Whirling Dragon Punch> I can compete with rank 1 martial core cultivators. He thought while Cui Ni widened his eyes from shock even more, and shouted out as he just couldn’t help it, “What?!”

Su Jun activated his movement skill <Swift Crane> again and moved. He appeared in front of the shocked Cui Ni and punched, shouting, “Whirling Dragon Punch!”

*BAM!* The <Whirling Dragon Punch> collided with the shocked Cui Ni, and like the last time, he was pushed back while coughing out a mouthful of blood. After coughing it out, Cui Ni glared at Su Jun with clear killing intent, “I don’t care why you are so strong for a rank 4 martial mortal. I don’t care that today is your first day in the inner sect. I will cripple you for humiliating me like this, you bastard!” he shouted out, and moved using his movement skill.

Su Jun’s pupils constricted, and he saw Cui Ni appearing in front of him and punching while shouting, “Wolf’s Punch!”

*BAM!* The first collided, but it was not with Su Jun. It collided with the palm of a beautiful girl of eighteen years old. She had long brown hair made into romantic half updo hairstyle, brown eyes, an oval face, B-cup sized breasts, round but and a goddess-like figure. She was not any less beautiful than Duan Xi.

Su Jun saw her back facing him, and he saw her name, level and cultivation base above her head.

<Fai Yue, Level 181, Rank 1 Martial Grand Core>

“What are you trying to do?” Fai Yue said coldly.

Cui Ni’s pupils constricted, and he said with a shaking voice, “W—we we—were just having a com—competition for the ho—house.”

Fai Yue turned her head back, her eyes met with Su Jun’s and Su Jun felt his heartbeat hasten, “Is this true?” she asked.

Su Jun gulped down his saliva, she is so beautiful. She is not any less beautiful than Duan Xi is. He nodded his head, “Yes, what he said is true. We were competing for the house.”

Fai Yue furrowed her eyebrows, and turned her head to Cui Ni, she tightened her grip on his fist as she spoke, “You sure are despicable. Forcing a weaker disciple into the fight so you could take his house away.”

Cui Ni groaned out in pain, and through it he said, “I—wasn’t—the—one—that—challenged—him—to—the—fight, it—was—the—other—way—around.”

Fai Yue harrumphed coldly, “Do you think I will believe that a rank 4 martial mortal cultivator would challenge a rank 1 martial core cultivator to a fight over a house? Do you think I am stupid?”
