"I haven't felt such joy for a long time," Eria was filled with excitement. The godly power gave him the joy of experiencing god-like status again, so he was content to some extent.
...
At the western part of the glaze village.
"Are you sure, little Rim" The elder of the village anxiously said as he heard
the petrifying news.
How could he not get anxious? The very life of the villager’s life was at stake at
the moment.
"Mmmm..." The girl's tears leaked from the corner of her eyes, but she rubbed them off
before it could drop off her face.
"You did well. I will tell the village chief, so don't worry anymore." The
elder gently patted her head. Once he was done, he got on a dashing horse and
rode it off towards the centre of the village. It was the place where all the
important matter of the village was discussed.
...
At the clearing forest.
"Boys, let’s move out. It seems as though the two guardian knights are taking their
time. However, don't worry as we alone are enough to wipe out a small
village."
The captain of the squad spoke on top of his lungs while staring at the path that lay
in front of him.
"Arrrrgghh" The 'soldiers' aggressively declared their approval. They got
hold of their weapons and start to advance towards the village.
After a few hours, the hundred men army covered third of the distance. The speed of
the advancement pleased the captain.
"Sing Min, come talk..."
"Boom!"
However, before he could broad his excitement to his followers, a sudden explosion came
from the back of the army. Along with the sound of ignition, miserable cry of
the soldiers sounded out.
"Save me!" Several tragic sound came, but no one came to help them out.
Limbs, eyes and heads flew about from the army like snow in the coldest winter. The
disgusting scent of the blood soon entered the nose of the every soldier at the
scene.
Soon, same thing happened around different location where the army was located. Around
four explosion set off at the same time.
"Who dares?" The captain exclaimed in rage. He stared around the army to
identify the mastermind and figure out the casualties. About ninety men were
killed in that outbreak.
Those soldiers were supposed to be used during the battle at the village. For them to die now was a huge waste. For now, only nine people remained.
"My master dares!"
A powerful and domineering voice came from the corner of the forest. A figure
with black mop hair stood in front of the army with a smile on his face.
"Why are you here? Where are my two guardian soldiers?" The captain glanced at
the figure and recognised him at once. It was Eria.
Eria had caught up to the army after trailing them. Knowing their further movements,
he used some explosive and his last bit of despair god aura, infused them, and
set up a trap.
"You could say they are good as gone. But don't worry, you will meet them
soon." Eria shouted to the top of his voice.
The captain fumed once he heard the child before him disrespect him. He had never once been threatened by a child let alone a peasant child.
"Min, retrieve his head for me," The captain said while gritting his teeth.
"Yes sir!" One of the elite soldier soon got off his horse and advanced towards
Dan. However, as soon as he was fifteen meters near Eria, an eerie black smoke
came off the ground and the soldier was soon sucked out of flesh and muscle. Miserable sound broke out as the process of extreme decomposition occurred. At the end, only blackish skeleton and a crimson pool of blood remained.
"What?" The onlookers looked anxious as they saw one of their companion getting killed
in front of their very eyes.
Shock flooded over their senses; stopping them for a brief moment. However, two
different factors
led them to awake their conscious:
the very thought of death and
their strength.
The remaining soldiers were all first level of elite knight level or beyond. They
were one realm above that of current Eria. He was at the level of beginner
mage. It was the lowest level of strength for anyone that was born in the
spirit world. Moreover, the realm of different strength in same level was
further classified as sub-realm. The sub-realm were: first sky, second sky and
then finally the third sky.
So for some one of that class to stand before them made them even more anxious.
"How is that little fellow doing this? Is someone at the level of standard mage
helping him?" One of the remaining soldiers complained. He knew to turn an
elite knight into bones, a high death class magic was required. Among them,
only one remaning person was at the stage of standard class and that was their
boss. Furthermore, he was the peak of the first sky.
"I can't sense anyone at that level," the captain had sweat coming off his
palm as he glanced around nervously. He couldn't comprehend as to what was happening. It was too unbelievable
for him. Standard class knights and mages weren't able to do such action... only those at the peak strength of the kingdom had such capacity.
"Can it be?" The captain and the last remaining soldiers shuddered at the worst
possibility that came at the top of their head.
"If you want to live, you shouldn't cross this line my master has set. If you were
to doubt my words, you can try but you probably won't be able to live on to
regret it." Eria said with confidence. As once a high level god, he had
thought of many ways to solve the problem.
"So, where is this master of yours, lowly peasant" The captain said voice full
of hatred. He couldn't believe that he had lost more than nighty five percent
of his manpower. To further add fuel to his anger, he had to back down from
taking further steps.
"I don't think I need to tell you. I am only conveying my master's messenger.
Although I might be only a beginner mage, I recommend you that you go back from
where you came; my master isn't a patient man." Eria denoted each word
loud and clear. He was running out of patience. He wanted to hurry back to the
village as he was concerned about his family members.
"Like the hell I will," The captain uttered his words at a low voice. He seemed
somewhat intimidated due to the recent experience. He looked around his
surrounding to glance at blooded grass, crushed skulls and chopped off limbs.
"Boss, I think we should retreat for now. We have lost many soldiers. If we were to
fight with the remaining people, we will be dead in no time." One of the strategists
suggested his viewpoint. He was concerned about what was going to happen, so he
spoke as clearly as possible.
"But, the king..." The captain got a bit hesitant once he saw the bigger
picture.
“We can group up with royal squads after we leave. We might be able to take down
the master mind then," the strategist spoke in a low voice, so only the
captain would hear him.
The captain sighed with hint of embarrassment and anger. He then glanced at Eria
once again.
He stared for couple of seconds to memorise his face, then with a grasping voice
he said, "We will leave... for now."
