Chapter 10 - Divine Light Sect

"Why is one of them on Earth?!"

King kept mumbling to himself as he moved through space, performing multiple leaps through space at his top speed - he was too used to restraining his power on Earth that something he used to be able to do in an instant had caused him to spend several hours and much of his energy teleporting himself across space slowly..

In the space floated a vast piece of land, a high-rising palace stood solemnly in the distant as the noise and sounds of a city filled his senses.

"Stop!" He was shouted at as he approached the city still flying, he ignored the man who appeared to be the guard who had floated up to him - choosing to fly straight past him in an instant instead throwing an object in the air for the man to catch, "Guard Noa pays respects to the Elder." His attitude changed in an instant, performing a respectful bow before retreating back to his post, continuing to gaze into the vastness of space.

Before long King had arrived before the vast palace he had seen from before, he flew to the ground and began to walk - a long line of people could be seen queuing to enter the palace. King walked straight past the line and towards one who was in charge of allowing people through. "This is the sect recruitment, by bypassing the line I assume you have a good reason or you'll be punished." The woman swept a cold gaze over him as he approached, "Tch, it's only been a hundred years since I last saw you Elisa and you're as cold as ever." He retorted before continuing past her, "You'd better have a good reason for being back here Will or I'll personally kick you back onto that rock myself." She sent a cold smile his way, ignoring the line of people who she was meant to be evaluating.

"NEVER CALL ME THAT NAME." He screeched back in retort, instantly releasing his pressure causing a majority of the line to plummet to the floor making the Earth shake. "The same as ever, quick to anger and even quicker to act." She said lightly as if he was air, his power not affecting her in the slightest. "Go report to the Elders Hall, you've not been here for a while so I'll warn you - don't interrupt the recruitment of the sect or you'll be severely punished." She said with a glint in her eye, eager to see him continue despite her warning.

"Hmpf." He stormed off through the archway in an instant, his eyes filled with rage as he wandered through.

...

"He's become more volatile with age, are you sure he's still fit to be an Elder; Sect Master?" Elisa had halted the recruitment and given control over to her disciple, telling him to test their talent and filter out the trash before disappearing. "We can't afford to lose him.His power may be lacking in comparison to yours however those in the Heavenly Core stage are a rarity, the War with that man destroyed several sects, even if we too detest the boy we can't let our hatred blind what's good for the sect." An ancient voice responded her, in the darkness, it was only her yet she dared not be disrespectful to even the air in this room - the man she was talking to had existed for as long as the realm itself, his power was on a scale far beyond any boundary she knew of.

"For him to come back to the sect however after all these years. The reason has to be important or else he wouldn't give up a position given to him where he could literally think himself a King. I've seen those so-called 'Knights' of his, they're powerful enough to even threaten me if they were to all attack at once. Was it wise to give him land where he could develop something akin to a feudal Kingdom? He was meant to be guarding the planet not playing with them as if they were toys." A hint of concern could be heard in her voice as she spoke, the task he had been given was an important one - had it not been for the lack of manpower an Elder would normally not have been required to go and yet King had volunteered willingly.

"We know.." The voice responded it was impassive to her concerns clearly. "But all we need him to do is protect the planet, the people are of little concern to us; he's created lie after lie to keep those under him in his grasp. He has however protected the planet as we intended him to."

"Yes. I know, his lies are quite laughable, to say the least - he's fabricated a lineage of guardians which have protected the planet and created something akin to a guild of assassins, many of which have been modified by him on a genetic level... It's worrying that they've grown so fast in such little time. However the fact he's back cannot be ignored, he recently found a new boy he's developed an interest in - the boy has talent I've observed him undetected by King myself yet once more such a child will be possessed by him... Please allow me to interfere in this matter! This child's talent could bring new glory to the sect!" Her true intentions were revealed, she shouted into the darkness with conviction.

"No." The voice said simply, "Do not interfere with the people of that planet; they have boundless potential if left untouched by us, allow Will to proceed with his plans. As long as he does not endanger the foundation of the planet and shows no signs of attempting to break away from the sect he can continue as he pleases; after all the boy is simply a seedling that may grow powerful in the future, Will is one of our core powers which we can't afford to lose if you-.."

"Go to Earth." The words were so suddenly uttered that Elisa was stunned, "What?" She asked in confusion, the Sect Master had not once contradicted himself before or interrupted himself as abruptly as he just had. "Will has reported that he felt the Aura of a Shadow on Earth, one much more powerful than even he can gauge, report back to me immediately if you find an enemy you can't defeat.. we cannot have a second coming of the War only a few thousand years after the first, the Universe will collapse.."

Not so far away from the room in which the two were conversing, one woman and a being of supreme power - a light shimmered through the grounds of the sect, exploring every place like a curious child; it flew before many of the sects disciples, Elders and even the Grand Elder himself and yet none could detect it.. it came to rest above an archway seemingly staring down on the line which stretched for as far as the eye could see. Three shining words could be seen below where it laid, a hint of Ancientness could be sensed from the words inscribed.

"Ugh... where am I?" Back on Earth Lewis was waking from his sleep, the walls of an unfamiliar room surrounded him; "So you're awake..."
