Chapter 1 - Internee

It was dark and snowing cold on the sea; everything surrounded by icy water. If one tries to touch the water, it could feel if a thousand souls were going to devour you. For hundreds of miles, there was nothing in sight, except a massive boat that was floating on the sea. It designed in the military style, with sturdy wood. Every length of the surface soldiers was standing as a guard as if they were a sculpture made of stone.

Although it was raining very heavily and there was lighting that hitting the water surface, they didn't dare to make a sound, as if they know that could awaken the devil.

Below the surface of the boat, there is a disgusting smell coming out of the strange room that was completely sealed off with no window visible. It looked more like a dungeon, which was there to torture people.

Inside the room sits a small boy who's eyes were desperately skitter across the room, finding nothing in the abyss. Cold sweat drip slowly down his skin, which was absorbed by the thin shirt. There was a small thick cloth that was wrapped around his chest, hiding the fact that he was she.

Maria untrimmed toenails scrape against the sodden stone floors, picking up the dust and dirt with them. The scent of death spread throughout her nostrils, limiting her from noticing anything else.

She holds her knee to her chest in the corner room, where the light from a single candle shine. Wishing it hadn't.

Spider lived by the hundreds in the holes of the walls, catching whatever prey was naive enough to fall into their trap. Their webs lined the walls, creating a delicate air to the horrors that they bury.

Bones in various stages of rot were scattered across the room. So sickening were they that even the flies wouldn't dare touch them. It was if a single touch would make them crumble away into a black powder.

Some of the skeletons were old, and some were new. Goosebumps shivered their way down Maria spine, and the dirt ground had sunk their way into her flesh for she had been seated here for what felt like an eternity.

She attempted to stand but was so fragile from the lacks of food that she immediately collapsed and gasped as pain spread through her body.

"Why..why did this happened to me?" she sobs, trying to push back the painful memories.

"God, how can you be so cruel….. there are billions of people around the world, why.. … me... ...ahhhuhhhh" she whispered with empty eyes.

As the darkness surrounded her eyes; her mind wandered somewhere peaceful. Before, she faded away, with a fainted breath, she whispered,

"Mother..little Nixon…I miss you."
