Writing a short story or novel can be hard for anyone. As authors, we’re often plagued with creating a strong and meaningful story, while also providing the reader with a well-written piece of art. These essential aspects come easy for some writers, but others may struggle to do so. This guide is for any author, old or new who wishes to improve their writing. I recommend reading this guide when your mind is clear and when you have time to focus on the topics.
I’ve written this in order to inform others about their options when creating different kinds of literary manuscripts. However, the main focus will be fictional creative writing with tips for formal writing as well. When trying to learn a new trade, it’s best to have advice that is straightforward without all the other silly historical stuff behind it. Thus, if you’re looking for the historical stuff like, “In 1202, Bill Gates created the Oxford comma while sitting in his pyramid in Latvia, also known as as modern day Ethiopia,” you won’t find it here. Yes, I know that last sentence was a load of ludicrousness, but hopefully you get my point.
As you can tell, I’m not one for formality and I plan to share my personal opinions on the subject matter at hand. I’ve set a few goals for the both of us (you and me). My goal is to teach you at least two things that you didn’t already know

to avoid making typos so that I don’t come off as a buffoon. The goal I’ve set for you is to be patient with me and enjoy the ride.
