The world had calmed down due to various efforts made by the world's leaders.
The discussed plans could be seen being implemented around the world. People were encouraged to participate by making them aware of the risk to their children and the future of humanity.
Registration sites were opened worldwide by 2:00 PM(GMT)
{almost 24 hours since Juviel appeared} to keep the record of people who chose to compete. Compensation would be provided to the families of registered ones.
The numbers were rising exponentially, as even more people had decided to register after the government released the news, about sending a combined military force for the protection of the people.
And as expected by the leaders, youngsters were the fastest to join; encouraged by many kinds of rumors roaming around the internet about superpowers and magic that could blow up even the Moon. The thought of having superpowers made their blood boil.
A huge number of middle-class people also came forward for the safety of their children and humanity’s future. Poor ones also joined the competition, as the compensation would give their future generations a chance to lead a good life, after they have used themselves to save Earth.
Gradually the time limit was up and almost 2.5 billion people signed up, including both young and old.
A total military force of 50 million militants was provided by the various governments for the safety of the people.
Women also joined enthusiastically. Although the number was quite low as compared to men, around 600 million women joined up.
All sorts of people registered—workers, small businessmen, criminals, farmers, students, and so on.

The world seemed to have stopped once again like 3 days ago. A familiar angelic figure was visible to everyone. A four feet little girl with dreamy blue eyes and a perky smile on her face.
"You're ready to choose, right?" Juviel enquired cheerfully.
"By the way, I was in a hurry last time, so I forgot to say a few things."
"The fact that you will be getting greater power is true and you will be getting other rewards as well for competing successfully. That's the positive part but there's also a negative part. There's a 90% chance that you will die in the trials.”
'Something like 99.99% chance, but its more than 90, so I didn't lie.' She smiled as she thought.
'Like we didn't know the outcomes' thought humans.
"Also, If your race losses before reaching a certain stage. Everyone on earth will be wiped out as well."
'WHAT!?' Everyone was shocked.
"So, choose well and compete to win!" She exclaimed cheerfully.
A moment later she stopped smiling and spoke in a serious tone.
"Those who choose to compete close your eyes. Those with open eyes will automatically forfeit and continue to live normally, well, unless more than 75% of your forfeit."
She waved her hand and everyone could move their eyelids.
'Hmm, I didn't expect their numbers would increase instead of decreasing.'
"Here we have 2.8 billion humans ready to compete. Quite interesting."
"Since you have completed the milestone of more than 25 %, your human race shall be exempted from erasure."
"Also, since the numbers are greater than 30% of the race, the excessive number of beings will be allowed to return after relevant tests."
"Farewell human race. I hope you survive."
Then, she vanished as did the people who chose to compete.

The world was in a state of mourning as countless families had lost a part of their members. A few members of even the rich and privileged families were missing.
