I walked outside of the diameter of where I killed the boar piglets; it was about 60-70 yards away from the two-storey house; I saw the trees, thickening in the distance, as from there on out the forest started. Walking through those trees, I entered the forest and saw a wolf standing 25-yards away from me. It was a normal brown furred wolf. A wolf you could find in any forest.

I thought as I stopped in my tracks; then raised my right arm, extended it towards the wolf and opened my palm; but before I could use a single spell, my stomach suddenly grumbled,
I am hungry… but I don’t have anything to eat. Hopefully that old man will give me something after I kill those 20 wolves. If he doesn’t; then I will just have to go to the next town and buy some food or pick up scavenging and cooking professions. Now then, Shadow Bolt!

I attempted to dodge by sidestepping to the right, but the wolf was too fast for me to dodge. It bit into my arm, damage flashed in front of me,

Damage floated up above its head, <Critical, -104> Its health got emptied out thanks to the critical strike and it fell down to the ground, dead; even before getting a chance to bite me again; its body got enveloped in a golden glow.

It’s dead… but damn, that really hurt. If the pain from these wolves was so sharp, then what about the monsters that I will meet later on? I have to get used to the pain as fast as possible. To begin, I will let each wolf bite me from 3 to 4 times. With my damage, their speed and the time I need to cast one spell, the wolves should be able to get that many hits in.
I walked to the wolf’s that I killed corpse and squatted down, touching its body that was enveloped in a golden glow with my right hand; a loot window opened.

Like this, I killed 19 more wolves, letting each one bite me from 3 to 4 times. Killing these 19 wolves got me 950 experience points which levelled me up to <Level 7>; it also got me 95 copper coins and now I had 1 silver and 48 copper coins.
