Chapter 27 - Chapter 52

A shout echoed throughout the whole castle. The voice didn't belong to the knight, as it was the voice of a girl. A window was open above the guard through which came the voice. Upon hearing it, Nolin and Liniin stopped, and they turned around. As nothing happened, they turned back again, and they kicked off.

"S-sir, are you sure it was a good idea?" Asked the girl shyly.

"I was doing her a favour by coming here. She wanted to speak with me, not the other way around. She should have warned his guards or should have been ready to greet us. This was a test for her, and it seems it yielded the result I was expecting." Explained Nolin

"I understand, sir!" Replied the girl

For the rest of the journey, they didn't talk to each other, yet they rode for almost half an hour until they arrived in a forest. And within the forest, they stopped by a little hut.

"Hm... It is quite a great forest... Quite relaxing," Declared Nolin as he got off the horse.

"Yes, I have heard that this is sir Leion's favourite area; that is why he established his study here." Explained the girl.

"I told you to wait!" Came a loud, panting shout.

Leion and Liniin looked in the direction where they heard the voice and could see a girl riding a horse. The girl had long red hair and golden eyes. She was wearing a red armoured battle dress and black high boots.

"Yes, but the lack of hospitality turned me off."

Said Nolin and turned back around and walked towards the door of the hut, and opened it. In the hut, there was only a table and three chairs, one of which was already used by Leion, who sat by the desk and was reading documents. His table was filled with stacks of paper. He didn't even notice that Nolin had opened the door, so he stepped in.

"Hey, what did you want to talk about?" Spoke Nolin up, slightly surprising Leion.

"Oh, Nolin! I didn't expect you to come this soon. Please, come-come. Sit down!" Siad Leion with a smile and put the document down.

"Alright!" Said Nolin, and he stepped inside, and Liniin followed him.

"Do not ignore me! I rode all the way here from my castle after you! At least give me some time to speak with you." Shouted the girl who had just stopped by the hut and rushed in.

"S-sister? What are you doing here? I thought you had already finished talking with Nolin!" Said Leion and looked back and forth between Nolin and his sister.

" No...Look... Nolin. I want to apologise. I was too quick to judge without thinking!" Said the girl and rushed after Nolin and sat down next to him.

"So what did you want to talk about, Leion?" Said Nolin and stared at Leion.

"Erm..."Gibbered Leion

"Hey,! Don't ignore me; I am right here!" Raised Leion's sister her voice.

"First, You wanted me to meet you, yet you didn't tell your guards about me. Second, as far as I know, when you meet someone and want something with them, you should first introduce yourself. As a lord, or whatever your rank is, you should know basic etiquette!" Declared Nolin without even glancing at the girl.

"How dare you... It seems you don't even know what my identity is, yet you dare to act like this before me?! My brother said that I should apologise since you are someone important, but if you were someone of high status, you would know who I am! I will have you..."

"THAT IS ENOUGH! He is a tenth-tier mage, and you dare to disrespect him?! He cured me of that poison and also defeated Black!"

Shouted Leion and slammed the desk with his fist, slightly cracking it and sending most of the paper flying. Nolin, on the other hand, glared at Leion. His eyes were glowing with anger.

"Wait... Is it true? Then..." Spoke up Leion's sister but was intermitted.

"Where did you learn that I was a tenth-tier mage?" Questioned Nolin with a cold tone while still glaring at Leion.

"I have seen that strange white spell of yours... That is what I wanted to talk about. I have read that such a spell is very difficult to control and use; only a tenth-tier mage would be able to cast it. That was an ancient spell you used to almost kill Black, right?!"

Asked Leion, but Nolin only closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The girl sitting beside Nolin, upon hearing Leion, started shaking and sweating slightly.

"It seems we learn magic differently... But there is one thing I am willing to tell you. You are only partially right!" Spoke Nolin up but paused and glared at Leion once again.

"Partially? What do you mean?!" asked Leion with great curiosity.

"I am currently a second-tier mage, at least in my system, but I do have the experience and knowledge of a tenth-tier mage."

Explained Nolin, and after hearing it, both Leion and his sister stood up. Leion opened his mouth, but suddenly everyone in the room fell in the room except Nolin. Everyone in the room fainted the moment they hit the ground, and Nolin calmly looked at them.

"And who might you be?" Questioned Nolin.

"Astonishing! It seems you really are who you claim to be. And one fortunate individual as well, Mr Wonderiech. You are truly applaudable!" Declared a voice.

"Hm... Since you already know so much about me, why don't you show yourself and introduce yourself?! Hiding who you are is quite disrespectful; I will have you know." Voiced Nolin.

"Oh, that is right; my apologies! I am being referred to as the Deity of this world. You could say that I am the protector of this world. I have no such luxuries as a name, or I forgot it many years ago."

Replied the voice, and a golden orb flew onto the table.
