Chapter 6 - Chapter 15 Caspade Town & Guild Registration

Mixarnt woke up in a small room, confused about how he got there. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the carriage. He left the room and walked down the corridor until he reached the guild hall. There, he saw many people in battle gear chatting.

"Hey, mister with the bald sides of your head, where am I?" Mixarnt asked innocently, addressing a man with a Mohawk. He didn’t realize he was in the Adventurer’s Guild of Caspade Town.

Arthur, standing nearby, burst out laughing at Mixarnt’s comment.

The guild hall fell silent as everyone turned to look at Mixarnt, his innocent question about the man’s hairstyle spreading amusement through the room. Arthur, still laughing, finally managed to speak.

"Kid, you’re in Caspade Town’s Adventurer’s Guild," Arthur said, wiping a tear from his eye. "This is where heroes like us plan quests, take on jobs, and rest after a long day of fighting monsters and villains."

Mixarnt eyes sparkled, as he looked around the unfamiliar room. He was excited and hurried to the reception area, where Mika, a beautiful woman with short red hair, was working. "Lady with a flat chest, I want to register as an adventurer," Mixarnt said, his eyes sparkling with innocence. Mika’s brow twitched in annoyance, finding Mixarnt’s comment irritating. Arthur, standing nearby, couldn’t stop laughing at Mixarnt’s blunt way of describing people. Mika narrowed her eyes, her expression a mix of exasperation and amusement. "Looks like we’ve got a real charmer here," she said dryly, crossing her arms. "For the record, my name is Mika, and I’m a B-cup, not flat-chested."

Arthur chuckled, his laughter joining the muffled giggles of the other adventurers nearby. "This kid’s got quite the mouth, doesn’t he?" he said, patting Mixarnt on the back. "But I’ll give him points for confidence. Alright, let’s get you registered, shall we?"

Mika sighed, shaking her head as she grabbed the necessary paperwork. "Just fill this out, and try not to offend anyone else with your... unique way of noticing things, okay?"

"Oh... I’m sorry, beautiful lady... with a B-cup chest," Mixarnt said. Mika had started smiling at being called "beautiful lady," but the added comment about her chest size annoyed her. Arthur, meanwhile, turned away, trying hard not to laugh.

Mika’s annoyance turned into a smirk, her eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and irritation. "Alright, alright, let’s just focus on getting you registered," she said, handing Mixarnt the paperwork. "And please, for the love of all things holy, stop commenting on my chest size. It’s not polite, and it’s definitely not appropriate in a professional setting."

Arthur, still struggling to keep a straight face, let out a strained cough. "Yeah, kid, maybe just stick to calling people by their names or titles from now on, okay?" he suggested, his tone a mix of teasing and genuine advice.

Mixarnt, completely unaware of the awkwardness he’d caused, grinned at Mika. "Sorry, pretty lady! I promise I won’t say anything rude again!" He eagerly started filling out the registration forms, his pen moving quickly across the paper with excitement.

"Here you are, beautiful lady with a... uh... Mika," Mixarnt said with a small grin, almost slipping back into his habit of awkward descriptions. Mika, in her 20s, wasn’t sure how to feel about being called "beautiful lady," and Mixarnt hesitated to call her "big sis" since they didn’t know each other well.

Mika took the completed registration forms from Mixarnt, her expression softening slightly at his attempt to be more respectful. "Thank you, Mixarnt," she said, her voice carrying a hint of warmth. "I appreciate you trying to be polite."

She glanced over the forms, quickly checking the details. "Looks like you’ve got everything filled out. Now, you just need to pay the registration fee, and I’ll give you your adventurer’s card."

Mika slid a small, ornate box across the counter to Mixarnt. "The fee goes in here. Just open it and place the gold coins inside. Once you’re done, I’ll issue your card." Arthur, who had been quietly watching, stepped forward to help Mixarnt. "Let me give you a hand with that, kid," he offered, his usual gruff tone softening. Together, they opened the box, and Arthur placed the required gold inside.

"Thanks, old man. Oh, by the way, what’s your name?" Mixarnt asked.

"I’m in my 40s, so I’m not that old. My name is Arthur," Arthur said with a grin. Mika couldn’t help but chuckle, turning away to hide her laughter. Still trying to hold back her amusement, she let out a quiet snicker, covering her mouth with her hand. She shook her head, her short red hair bouncing, and cleared her throat.

"Alright, Mixarnt, your registration is complete. Here’s your adventurer’s card," she said, sliding the ornate card across the counter. "Remember, this card represents your commitment to follow the Code of Conduct and protect the people of Caspade Town. Don’t make us regret welcoming you as one of us."

Arthur, ever the supportive mentor, gave Mixarnt a hearty pat on the back.
