Chapter 29 - Chapter 88 A Boy’s Trial by Fire (and Water)

The warm water of the large bath swirled gently around them, steam rising into the air. Sunshine sat behind Mixarnt, scrubbing his back with practiced ease.

Mixarnt let out a contented sigh, his muscles relaxing under her touch. "Ahh… this feels amazing."

Sunshine chuckled. "Hey, brat, you look way too happy."

"Who wouldn't be?" Mixarnt replied, his voice blissful. "It’s hard to reach my back when I bathe alone, so this is just… heaven."

Sunshine smirked, amused by how easily pleased he was. Then, a playful thought crossed her mind. 'What would he do if I leaned in a little?'

Acting on impulse, she pressed her chest against his back.

Mixarnt froze. The warmth and weight of something soft settled against him. His blissful expression vanished instantly, replaced by dawning realization.

His face paled. "H-hey, G-General… there’s something heavy on my back."

Sunshine’s cheeks burned, realizing what she had just done. But instead of pulling away, she panicked and smacked his leg.

"Ouch!" Mixarnt yelped.

"J-just shut up! And... Call me Sun right now." Sunshine stammered, her face now completely red. She had meant to pamper him but wasn’t sure if anything she was doing was even affecting him the way she wanted.

A soft giggle echoed through the bath.

"Oh my~ I didn’t know it was that big," Arabella teased, her golden eyes twinkling with mischief.

Sunshine shot her a glare. "Mother!"

Beside Arabella, Helia smiled sweetly. "Yes, mother. Sunshine’s chest did get bigger. I wonder if it will reach your size one day."

Arabella laughed. "Oh, darling, I wasn’t talking about that. I meant something else." Her gaze flickered toward Mixarnt, her amusement deepening as she noted how he would only continue to grow in more ways than one.

"Hey, Sun, move over. It’s my turn to wash Mixarnt," Moonlight interrupted, her voice tinged with irritation.

Sunshine grinned smugly and wrapped her arms tightly around Mixarnt from behind. "Nu-uh. Hehe."

Mixarnt blushed redder feeling Sunshine's soft chest completely on his back, the embrace only made him smiled awkwardly.

Without warning, a splash of cold water crashed over them.

"C-cold!!!" both Mixarnt and Sunshine shrieked in unison.

Sunshine whirled around. "The hell, Moon!?"

Moonlight didn’t answer. Instead, she smoothly slipped past Sunshine, taking her place behind Mixarnt and wrapping her arms around him.

"Sorry for the cold water." Moonlight murmured, her breath warm against his ear. "Allow me to warm you up with my body."

Mixarnt’s entire face turned beet red as if smoke is coming out of his head. Unlike with Sunshine, there was something different about this. His heart pounded, and he didn’t know why.

"Grr! Hey, Moon—"

Before Sunshine could finish, Helia and Arabella grabbed her by the arms and pulled her into the bath with them, giggling as water splashed everywhere.

Meanwhile, Moonlight began washing Mixarnt’s body, her hands moving with gentle precision.

Even when she pressed herself against him, he didn’t mind as much as he did with Sunshine.

"Is it heavy?" Moonlight asked softly, her cheeks tinged pink.

Mixarnt swallowed, feeling an odd mix of emotions. "N-no… I actually like it."

Moonlight smiled. "Good."

She continued washing him, her hands trailing down from his chest to his abdomen, stopping just before reaching any… sensitive areas. She knew Mixarnt was still innocent, unaware of certain things, and she didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.

After finishing, she pulled back slightly and giggled. "Okay, all done. Now, your turn. Wash my back."

Mixarnt, still flustered, nodded quickly. "O-okay."

As they switched positions, Mixarnt grabbed a cloth and gently scrubbed Moonlight’s back. She let out a soft sigh of satisfaction, her smile peaceful.

Watching from across the bath, Sunshine let out a deep sigh. "I wish Mixarnt would scrub my back too…"

Helia and Arabella exchanged a glance, grinning.

"Mixarnt, scrub our backs too, okay?" Arabella called out playfully.

Mixarnt looked over and grinned in his usual cheerful way. "Of course!"

Sunshine’s face turned pink. She lowered her voice and muttered, "Mom…!" But she couldn’t stop the small smile that crept onto her lips.

Helia’s gaze softened as she watched Mixarnt, her eyes filled with warmth. "Mixarnt is so endearing… so innocent. You said his wish was for Eclipse to not marry the prince, right? I’m really thankful to him."

Sunshine smiled gently. "Yeah… he’s one of a kind, huh?"

Her gaze lingered on Mixarnt, watching as he continued scrubbing Moonlight’s back with care, completely focused and happy.

Even in the midst of all the chaos he unknowingly attracted, he was still just himself—pure-hearted, kind, and completely unaware of how much he meant to the people around him.

----------

Mixarnt was lounging on the super soft sofa in the Solaris family's living room when Sunshine walked in, wearing her nightgown. She was followed by Moonlight, who also looked relaxed in her sleepwear. Arabella and Helia joined them shortly after, all dressed in their own nightgowns. "Alright, let's play some cards," Sunshine said with a grin. Mixarnt felt a bit embarrassed. Even though the nightgowns weren't revealing, Sunshine, Moonlight, and Helia still looked incredibly attractive. This was also the first time Mixarnt had seen Moonlight out of her usual receptionist outfit, which made her feel a little shy under his gaze.

As they settled in, Arabella asked, "Mixarnt, do you want some snacks?" Mixarnt started to answer, but then he noticed how stunning Arabella looked in her nightgown. It was slightly revealing, and Mixarnt quickly looked away, blushing. "Y-yes, please—" he stammered.

Helia and Sunshine immediately reacted. "M-Mom!" they exclaimed, flustered. "Just go change your clothes!" Sunshine insisted, while Helia started pushing Arabella away. Arabella pouted, "But all my sleeping gowns are like this." She then turned to Mixarnt and asked, "Do you hate it?"

Mixarnt felt like he was in a tough spot. He thought to himself that women could be really intimidating sometimes. Before he could respond, Sunshine cut in, "It doesn't matter if he likes it or not! Just go change!" Arabella eventually gave in and returned a little later in a less revealing nightgown. It was still short, just above the knee, and made of thin lace, but it was much more modest. Sunshine and Helia were relieved that it wasn't see-through.

With everyone finally ready, Mixarnt excitedly said, "Okay, let's play some cards!" Sunshine sighed with a smile, Arabella giggled, and Helia sat down beside Mixarnt. Moonlight also took a seat beside him. Arabella teased, "Oh, looks like you lost your chance to sit beside our little hero," which made Sunshine grumble in annoyance.

Sunshine then laid out the rules: "Whoever wins gets to command the others to do whatever they want. The winner just has to say the name of the person they want to give orders to!" And with that, the game of poker began, filled with laughter, teasing, and a little bit of tension as everyone tried their best to win.

The card game continued, and one by one, the girls started winning rounds. Each victory came with a playful command for Mixarnt, who found himself increasingly flustered but unable to refuse.

First, Arabella won. With a mischievous grin, she said, "Mixarnt, sit on my lap." Mixarnt hesitated, his face turning red, but he obliged. Arabella wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace, Mixarnt's face is buried in her chest again, her laughter soft and teasing as she felt him tense up. "Relax, Mixarnt," she whispered, making him blush even harder. Moonlight and Sunshine felt so annoyed.

Next, Helia won her round. She pointed at Mixarnt and declared, "Lay your head on my lap." Mixarnt, still recovering from Arabella's command, awkwardly disentangled himself from her arms and chest, he shifted to rest his head on Helia's lap. She gently patted his hair, a small smile on her face as she watched him struggle to stay composed.

Sunshine won shortly after. "Sit beside me," she said, her tone firm but playful. Mixarnt moved to sit next to her, feeling the heat of embarrassment rise to his cheeks again. Sunshine leaned slightly against him, her arm around his neck, her grin widening as she noticed how flustered he was.

Finally, Moonlight won her round. She looked at Mixarnt with a soft, almost shy expression and said, "Let me rest my head in your lap." Mixarnt, now completely overwhelmed, nodded silently. Moonlight gracefully laid her head down, her silky silver hair spilling over his legs. She closed her eyes, looking serene, while Mixarnt sat frozen, unsure of what to do with his hands.

As the night went on, the combination of warmth, comfort, and exhaustion finally caught up with Mixarnt. His eyelids grew heavy, and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep, his head resting on Helia's lap. The girls noticed and exchanged soft smiles.

"He's out," Helia whispered, gently brushing a strand of hair from Mixarnt's face.

"Let's get him comfortable," Arabella suggested. Together, the girls carefully moved Mixarnt to the large makeshift bed they had prepared in the living room. They laid him down in the center, and one by one, they joined him, curling up around him. Sunshine lay on one side, Helia on the other, Arabella at his knees, and Moonlight nestled close to his chest.

The room fell quiet, the only sound being the soft breathing of the group as they drifted off to sleep. Mixarnt, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of the Solaris family and Moonlight, slept peacefully, completely unaware of the smiles on their faces as they dreamed beside him.
