Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: You Are Not a Silver Dragon

"Where's your magic?"

Hearing this, Witterlooked at Wynterth with a blank expression.

"Magic? What magic?"

Seeing Witt's innocent and bewildered look, Wynterth was at a loss for words for a moment.

There was no doubt that dragons were magical creatures!

Even her kind, the five-colored dragons who were best at close combat, were still considered magical creatures.

Among the dragon species, the only ones not categorized as magical creatures were some types within the land dragon breeds.

Could it be that this young dragon is not a pure-blooded silver dragon?

Thinking this, Wynterth brought her head closer to her claw, then examined Wittercarefully while using her mental power to probe Witt's body.

However, after a moment, Wynterth became even more bewildered.

Every detail of his body clearly told her that Witterwas a silver dragon, pure as could be!

But, whether it was muscle strength or the weak elemental response, it indicated that Witt should be a land dragon type, skilled in physical strength and lacking magical talent!

Was it because the silver dragon's bloodline was too concentrated?

"But that doesn't make sense either!

Silver dragons are known to have the best magical aptitude among the metallic dragons, which is evident from their more slender physique compared to other metallic dragons. Moreover, silver dragons are unique among the five types of metallic dragons in that they are naturally attuned to water elements yet capable of casting spells of other attributes. The other four types of metallic dragons can only use magic corresponding to their attuned element. If Witter's silver dragon blood is concentrated, then his response to elements wouldn't be as negligible as it is now, including the water affinity of silver dragons! However, if the concentration of land dragon blood in Witter is high, then the wings on his back should have regressed, or even not grown at all! Because land dragons do not have wings! So, what is the reason? As Wynterth stared at Witter, constantly pondering and trying to find a reasonable explanation, Witter's heart began to pound uncontrollably as the other's contemplation lasted longer. Of course, what he was thinking about now was not his physical issue! Although the physical issue is important, the biggest problem should indeed be focused on survival! A dragon that stands out from the rest is equivalent to a unique experimental material. I wonder if these worlds also have those extremely brutal experiments known as biochemistry!"

Additionally, even if not reduced to experimental material, would a dragon that cannot perform magic truly be accepted by a group of dragons capable of using magic? Witter had secretly tried several times, but he genuinely could not sense that force known as magic. Speaking of which, is the magic here the same as the magic in web novels? If so, does that mean he will never possess that gorgeous and powerful strength in the future? Thinking about it, he felt an inexplicable sense of regret! No, damn it, this is not the time for such thoughts! While pondering what kind of situation Witter was in, Wynterth inadvertently noticed Witter's constantly changing expressions and was taken aback! Watching his face shift from gloomy to hopeful, to desperate, and so on, with a variety of expressions continuously changing, could this really be something a newborn dragon could do? Wynterth suddenly felt that she should have a proper talk with this young dragon named Witter! However, before that... "Witter! Can you give me a drop of your blood? On the other side, Witter, whose mind had slipped like stepping on a banana peel and was already considering whether the传说中的 world of the dead really existed, finally realized upon hearing this sentence that he had not yet been killed!

However, to give a drop of blood... Witter looked at his own claws, uh... he couldn't bring himself to do it!

Then, he searched his body for a while, and finally settled on the tail that didn't really obey his commands!

A few more minutes later, when Wynterth was getting a bit impatient, Witter finally gritted his teeth, lightly scratched the tip of his tail with his claw, and then squeezed out a drop, uh... a trace of blood, before looking at Wynterth with anticipation!

Wynterth gazed at Witter with a thoughtful look,

Is this guy really a dragon?

She thought to herself, using her mental power to manipulate the blood, which was invisible to her, and brought it to her mouth.

Well, it's barely enough for analysis!

A moment later, Wynterth's huge dragon eyes narrowed sharply, and then she looked at Witter with astonishment.

This timid guy who hates pain is actually a purebred dragon, and his bloodline is even purer than hers!

But strangely, she couldn't identify the race of this bloodline.

Could there really be a Star Dragon?

How could that be possible!

She shook her head, dismissing this absurd thought from her mind, and then her gaze fell on Witter once again. She hesitated for a moment, and then asked, "Little one, do you have any images of your father or mother in your inherited memories?"

Upon hearing the question, Witter was about to say no, but at that moment, two figures emerged from the depths of his mind.

A silver-white dragon with the same appearance as him, yet the size of the dragon was unimaginably large, with stars in her claws as if they were marbles—those round objects made of glass.

The other figure was much smaller, only about ten meters in length, entirely crimson, and somewhat resembling Wynterth, but with golden, lava-like patterns on its body.

Though small in stature, Witter felt an aura from it that was much stronger than that of the silver dragon, an aura that made the stars tremble!

Looking at the two figures and feeling their tender gazes, Witter felt an urge to cry.

Are these his parents?

Regaining his senses, Witter realized that tears had unconsciously flowed down his cheeks.

Wynterth, seeing Witter stubbornly wipe away his tears, felt a flash of pity in her eyes.

"It's okay if you can't remember, and as a dragon, crying is a bit unbefitting of your status!" Witter shook his head.

"In my inherited memories, I see them, my mother looks just like me!" "No," Wynterth's eyes brightened upon hearing this.

"Most likely, it's a silver dragon!"

As for why it's a high probability, just look at the young dragon in front of you; this is definitely not a silver dragon!

"My father... looks very much like you."

Wynterth was taken aback for a moment.

"A red dragon? No, you said very similar?"

Witter nodded.

"The appearance is very similar, but my father has gold patterns on his body that resemble lava, especially on his chest!"

With that, Witter stopped talking.

He wasn't planning to mention anything about their size, even though he didn't have a proper bloodline inheritance, he could tell that his parents' sizes were not those of normal dragons.

Hearing Witter's words, a flash of surprise crossed Wynterth's eyes.

"A dragon of a different breed!"
