"I think it's time for me to get to know you all now!" Selene said, pausing for a moment before turning her gaze to one of the young dragons.
"Starting with you!" she declared, pointing her chin at Denite. Denite's eyes flickered with a hint of annoyance, but after comparing their sizes, she decided to hold onto her grievances for now.
"Denite, species is Green Dragon!" Denite's voice was pleasant, with a slight childish lilt that naturally evoked a protective instinct in those who heard it.
Witter was also drawn to the sound, taking a closer look at Denite. Like Wynterth, Denite was bipedal, a female dragon with noticeably muscular forelimbs. Her four dragon horns curved upwards, more ferocious than those of other great dragons.
Her wingspan was 1.2 times her body length, her scales were green and diamond-shaped, small and densely packed with a slight protrusion. Her tail was slender and long, like a whip, and when she lashed it inadvertently, it created a gust of wind. Noticing this, Witter felt a surge of caution towards Denite. This little female dragon was far from as innocent as her voice suggested; a flick of that tail could cause a lot of pain!
While Witter was observing Denite, Selene was also watching her with interest. Suddenly, she let out a soft chuckle.
"I can see your discontent. I'll give you a chance to fight. If you can defeat me, I'll acknowledge you as the leader!" At this, Denite's eyes flickered with a hint of eagerness, but she quickly suppressed it. Now was not the right time!
In a situation where neither could use magic, the advantage of size would be magnified. Moreover, Selene was already able to harness the light elements within her, albeit in small amounts, which could make a significant difference in a fight.
Challenging Selene directly now would not be a wise move. Seeing Denite's silence, Selene sneered.
"Good choice. Next, you!" she said, turning her attention to Billy, who was caught off guard and quickly responded, "Billy, species is Red Crystal Dragon. Just to clarify, I'll listen to you, but your demands can't be unreasonable!"
As he spoke, Billy cast a wary glance at Selene's stature, not wanting to engage in conflict. Hearing this, Witter was momentarily surprised. He had noticed that Billy was quite bold, always the first to act, especially when he had tried to take the stones from the cave earlier.
Impulsive and daring were the first impressions Witter had of Billy. But now, he realized he needed to reassess this peculiar-looking dragon. Indeed, peculiar!
Billy's limbs, dragon horns, the edges of his wings, and from his neck down along the spine to the tail were all covered in red crystal tufts. Especially his horns—Witter couldn't even see the keratin parts; they were entirely red crystals, resembling a crown!
However, these red crystals were somewhat dim now. His red dragon scales were diamond-shaped, extremely smooth with a crystalline texture. On his chest was a protruding hexagonal crystal, about half the size of a dragon's head.
His tail was thick and long, with the crystal tufts at the end膨大 like a meteor hammer, having a crystalline texture. If these were hard, Billy's tail could be a hidden weapon!
Billy's appearance was distinctly different from the other dragons, which Witter found quite odd. On the other hand, Selene, with her inherited memories, wasn't surprised by Billy's appearance. Crystal dragons looked like this, differing mainly in color.
She was more interested in Billy's words. "You're the most pragmatic one. I hope you continue to be so. As for your worries, they're unnecessary. I'm not a tyrant; I wouldn't make unreasonable demands!" she said.
Tyrant? Witter smirked. This little female dragon had quite the imagination, even dreaming of being a tyrant.
After speaking, Selene shifted her gaze to Aure, who stood up, fully展开 his wings, his golden vertical pupils gleaming with a fierce battle intent.
"Aure, Golden Dragon, let's have a fight. If you win, I'll acknowledge you as the leader. But, I have one condition: no using magical elements during the fight!" Selene looked at Aure, then chuckled.
"Of course, but before that..." she said, finally turning her attention to Witter.
"Crybaby, that's what I'll call you. You shouldn't mind, right? We've all introduced ourselves, and even though you don't know your own species, it's only fair you do the same!" Selene's words drew the other three dragons' gazes to Witter.
Dragon pride values strength above all! Witter's situation was clear to them from his previous conversations with Wynterth. It was likely that Witter would never master magical powers, and the idea of inheriting his father's physical strength was laughable. Among the five young dragons, Witter was the most slender and small.
Strength always comes with a large physique! Witter's appearance had no convincing power. Thus, the other dragons looked at Witter with a hint of contempt. Although dragon pride prevented them from bullying the weak, it also made them disdain to associate with the weak.
Noticing these looks, Witter's eyes narrowed, and he bared his teeth in a snarl. "I don't mind what you call me, but I prefer Witter. Also, I don't think you're that strong!" he retorted, his muscles tensing in his limbs.
Looking at Witter, Selene's eyes sharpened, then she sneered. "Are you planning to fight me? Don't be ridiculous. Silver Dragons are naturally skilled in magic, and you haven't inherited any affinity for magical elements. What do you rely on to fight me? Your scrawny body?" she taunted.
Without responding, Witter stomped his foot, flapped his wings vigorously, and lunged at Selene with a slip and slide. His movements were毫不犹豫. This was his plan all along: to beat up the four young dragons in front of him. Once they couldn't take it, they would report to Wynterth. Regardless of the reason, Wynterth would separate them, and then he could have his own cave!
Thinking of this, Witter's eyes gleamed with cold light. Selene, looking at Witter charging at her, also saw a cold light flash in her eyes. If you want to fight, then let's fight! Great Dragons never fear battle!
