Ignoring both the message of the system and the happiness that came with it, Shu Himo pointed a finger toward the crowd. “Never underestimate your opponent like that, it’s no different from asking to be killed.”
Those words ‘unfroze’ the crowd, yet also gave them chills recalling how they had underestimated the child.
Shu Himo then turned to gaze at the announcer. “Next?”
The announcer’s lips twitched.
Seeing their reaction, Shu Himo felt satisfied. After the struggles over the last few days—especially the one against the receptionist girl—he had finally blown off some steam.
It was only after a few seconds that the announcer calmed down and raised his arms to welcome the next competitor. “Here is the new contestant, Patrick Veridas, a middle-aged tiger-man at the Meridians Strengthening phase!”
Aiming a hand to Shu Himo and one to the newcomer, he added, “Patrick Veridas versus Shu Himo! Who will win?”
Walking towards the stage, the newcomer gazed at Shu Himo. The rules of the arena forbid any contestant to watch the matches of an opponent with less than a ten win streak, but the announcer’s words gave him a hint.
Unlike any regular match between two new competitors, the cultivation level of his opponent was omitted from the announcement. That could only mean that the child had just won a match.
Patrick couldn’t help but be shocked. After pondering for a moment, he looked at the child. “Don’t worry and don’t hold back, I won’t hurt you. We will end this fight with a single decisive hit.” He believed that it would be a waste to kill such a promising child.
Shu Himo smiled hearing those words. While it was a mistake to underestimate the opponent due to the age, the man’s decision gave him a good impression.
The audience, meanwhile, wanted to warn Patrick but no one dared to. After what they did previously, they all feared retribution from the child.
“Now I hope both contenders are ready, because the match will start!”
Hearing the typical starting announcement, Patrick focused all his attention on Shu Himo. However… before he could react, the child was already in front of him.
“This…!” He dashed backward to escape, but he felt a small hand pressing against his back. A shiver went down his spine as he saw a short sword posed on his right shoulder.
His defeat took just half a second. He then heard a childlike voice from behind.
“As you seemed a good guy I decided to not kill you. But, avoid to underestimate others the next time.”
Hearing those words, Patrick was stunned. He couldn’t understand how the child could be that fast. Filled in doubts, he didn’t hear the announcer declare his defeat and walked outside the arena.
The audience looked at the child with expressions filled with hope. Shu Himo didn’t kill his opponent! Wouldn’t that mean that he won’t get revenge on them? They all sighed in relief at that news.
In the following matches, Shu Himo kept sparing the ones that he thought as 'good guys' and executing the ones he deemed as 'annoying'.
He soon reached a ten win streak, and his name reached the ears of the other fighters. Fear grew in their hearts when they learned of his strength, but they sighed in relief hearing that only those who disrespected him would be killed.

"I've been had!" The manager threw a chair to the floor in rage.
The arena prize was based on the number of wins obtained, especially win streaks. Each win would yield ten silver coins, while every five win streaks would double the total value earned.
It was a method designed to attract many contestants in search of riches. In case someone was in a huge win streak, the arena held remarkable experts to prevent the prize from increasing too much.
Shu Himo was currently in a ten win streak, so he had already gained one gold from the basic reward, doubled two times—reaching a total of four gold coins. While that amount wasn’t a problem for the arena to pay, the strength that the child exhibited demonstrated that he could reach easily even a fifty win streak, which would reward him a whopping 5120 gold coins!
There was no way the arena could pay all that!
"Are they planning to plummet my arena into bankruptcy?!"
If it were just a normal cultivator who happened to get into a huge win-streak, the problem could still be solved by assassination. But this case was different—the other party was of the Shu Family! Assassination plans aside, even just treating him unfairly may get the whole arena destroyed!
“Whoever plotted against me thought their plan really well!” He threw another chair to the wall, shattering it.
Left with no alternative, he knew that he had to call ‘him’.
“Hey! Call ‘him’ immediately!” He screamed to his subordinate, only to be met with a puzzled face.
“Ehm… Boss, who is ‘him’?”
Annoyed by his useless underling, the manager threw him aside and rushed to call ‘him’.
It was his last hope.

“Shu Himo seized his thirteenth win! His next opponent will be Gersy Catsy, a man at the Acupoint Opening phase! Who will win this match?”
As the announcer’s passioned voice resounded in the arena, the audience looked at him as if he were an idiot. Some even asked each other how the announcer’s face could be thick enough to say ‘who will win this match?’.
Feeling those stares, the announcer almost spurted blood. I’m trying to liven up the atmosphere, okay?
Meanwhile on the stage, a fatty joined his hands as if praying to his opponent. “Ehm… Sir Shu Himo, please go easy on me.” His expression brightened when he saw the child’s nod.
Soon, the announcer’s starting signal echoed to everyone’s ears. “Now I hope that Gersy Catsy is ready, because the match will start!”
As soon as the signal reached Shu Himo’s ears, he shot toward his opponent using [Hopper]. He took but an instant to reach the fatty, and yet, a sword barred his path.
Shu Himo narrowed his eyes. His opponent wasn't too shabby. Upon such a realization, he accelerated his pace. Using two [Hopper] in a row, he skipped around his opponent and reached his back.
But just as he was about to swing his sword toward the fatty, Shu Himo found a massive belly flying towards him. The fatty aimed to crush him with his sheer weight!
However...
An invisible platform formed under Shu Himo’s foot, sending him up in the air. He spun once, and—using the built up centrifugal force—sent a kick toward his opponent.
Striking Gersy Catsy’s face, the kick threw him to the wall of the arena, creating a hole on it.
“The winner is Shu Himo! Give an applause for the champion!”
The moment the signal echoed in the arena, the audience dared not to wait and clapped their hands as strong as possible, hoping to not get on Shu Himo’s nerves.
