Chapter 86 - Pillow fight

The next day, I woke up with the sun shining on my face and with a strangely pleasant soreness between my legs. There was a subtle feeling within me that something was going on. When I freed my eyes from the sand and tried to sit up, my hand touched something… hairy and… fleshy? Reflexively, I draw my hand back only to remember what happened last night.

I can’t believe I did all that. How could I be this shameless? But deep down, I knew how. Ever since I found out about my pregnancy, I hadn’t even touched myself due to all the stress. So, what happened yesterday most likely came from my prolonged abstinence. I released all my pent-up emotions, and even though I still feel some shame, some of the awkwardness has left. At least this is what it felt like.

I let myself fall back into bed. My room was filled with our smell. The bed sheets were soiled, and even the floor wasn’t spared from some stains.

Ugh, Adelheid will kill me. Or I will die of shame knowing that the maids who clean this up will know precisely what we did.

I distract myself from these thoughts by sneaking a look at Janus, who was peacefully sleeping beside me. His hairy chest had been half exposed from my movements, and I carefully pulled the blanket back up, trying not to wake him. I’m unsure what to say to him, so I just lay back down, pulling the blanket over my head to hide from the sun and pretending to sleep, feeling a mix of longing and uncertainty.

I used some healing magic to ease the soreness and silently complained about my parched throat and the dried-up fluids still covering my lower half. If I weren’t already pregnant, I felt like I would have been after what we did tonight. But then again, there was no way to know.

While I filled my head with useless thoughts, the sun had traveled further, shining now into Janus’ face as well. And just like I did, he awoke. Even though my head was under the blanket, I closed my eyes and did my best not to move. I could feel him move beside me, and then a ray of sunlight on my cheek as Janus lifted the blanket from my face.

A satisfied sigh followed by a short chuckle escaped his lips, and he put the blanket back down. I could hear him stand up and listen to his footsteps as he gathered his clothes that littered the floor. But then I heard him abruptly stop as footsteps quickly approached from outside, and someone ripped the door open. For a few seconds, I heard nothing, so I risked it and opened one of my eyes to peek between the blanket, and what I saw almost scared me to death.

It was Adelheid with her daughter Emma who had her granddaughter Teresa in her arms. Silently and in shock, they stare at the Janus who did his best to hide his manhood behind his bundled-up clothes. I could see Emma blush before her mother reprimanded her. Had he been able to cover himself before they saw him?

“My Lord, please forgive my daughter’s insolence. We will be on our way.”

Janus just managed a strained smile and nodded slightly. Adelheid closed the door, and soon I could hear even quicker footsteps than before, leaving before there was nothing but silence again until Janus said,

“Looks like we got caught. You’d better stop pretending, or else Adelheid will be even angrier.”

Slowly, I pull the blanket back under my chin and ask,

“How did you know?”

With the blanket gone, I could see Janus smiling like a mischievous little boy as he put on his socks. But he didn’t answer my question and instead walked over until he was standing right next to me, his now flaccid manhood in full view. He notices my gaze and says,

“So… how was last night?”

I instantly blush and pull the blanket back over my head.

“So bad, huh? Where is the ruby from last night who just couldn’t get enough of…”

Before he could finish his sentence, I threw a pillow after him. But Janus easily sidestepped the fluffy projectile. And in the same motion, he threw my blanket to the ground. Since I was exposed again, I hastily grabbed another pillow to hide from his view.

“Shut up! And go. We don’t have time for this.”

Which was true, we really didn’t have time for this, the sun was already relatively high, and there was still so much to prepare for the Luna Festival. Now that I think about it, doing it the day before might not have been the best idea. But I just couldn’t let it go after Rika provoked me like this.

“I will once you tell me if you liked it or not.”

“Urgh!”

But instead of leaving, Janus continued to stubbornly stand in the middle of the room with still only his socks on. My face was probably redder than my eyes right now. Logically, I knew that I could simply wait it out until Adelheid came back again to finally get rid of him, but…

“It was wonderful, okay! I have never felt this good in my entire life. Are you satisfied now?”

“Oh, I am, and I agree.”

Janus leaned in close, his lips brushing my cheek as he whispered softly, the warmth of his breath sending shivers down my spine.

“Last night was truly breathtaking.”

I could feel something stir inside of me when I heard his voice.

“Wha- what?”

I try to form a sentence, but by then Janus was already gone. As if the world itself had swallowed him. Until I heard the door to his room open and close.

Dammit! Stupid idiot! Since when is he such a smarmy guy? Why did he have to lead me on when we had no time! And why did he have to leave at all!

But there was no one here who would listen to my complaints. And then I heard it.

Damnation.

I could hear footsteps coming closer. Shit! Adelheid is coming back, and I’m still butt naked!
