The 'sieging' of the Wolfenstein Kingdoms troops didn't seem to be a random skirmish. These people that attacked the village seem to have a strong intent to kill and destroy. Feihren keenly observed these people as they were trying to confront the non-living turrets as if they were some kind of giant monsters that were waiting to be slain.
"I don't think this is normal? What do you think, old chief?"
"Ah, I am not even bothering with these pesky meddlers at all anymore. It has been like what, the 4th time?"
"But, this behavior is seemingly too… irrational."
Feihren keenly observed the chaotic situation outside the village. These bastard soldiers just kept running straight towards the village and attacking the turrets like idiots! But as Feihren neared them, he observed that the aura they were exuding was somewhat familiar.
"Human, I can smell… Me? Those are definitely traces of my aura…" The Ancient Demon Lord within Feihren's Demonic Carbine spoke up as they were nearing the entrance of the dwarves' village.
"So you mean all of these people have your consciousness fragment? That doesn't seem too plausible, don't you think?
"Don't be silly, human. You do realize that I am not just a 'Demon Lord' by name or anything right? I am, in actuality, someone that ruled over demons for eons. I technically have the power to control over inferior creatures such as humans that were weak-willed. Remember what happened to the queen back then?"
"Ah, but controlling these many people with this kind of twisted goal? This just clarified my 'doubts' as to who really holds your [Demonic Essence]. But worry not, my plan to take it away from them is foolproof! It is totally foolproof I say." Feihren proudly said with eyes full of determination.
"In any case human, why are you taking so long to give me the third part of my consciousness? It would definitely make this 'body' even more powerful you know?" The Ancient Demon Lord inquired, as he was curious about why Feihren has been putting such 'important thing' on hiatus.
"That's the problem, you see. If I give you the third fragment of your consciousness, you'd be stronger. In fact, you would be so strong that I doubt the materials that I used for this weapon could even handle it. So I decided to do something a little bit different… But first, I'd want to test out how strong you really are."
The [Carbine of the Demonic Stallion] is something that Feihren created "accidentally," causing it to have no discernible stats that were similar to the weapons Feihren made in the past. Due to the lack of information, it was a unique exemption to Feihren's inventory that he himself was not sure how much damage this weapon could dish out.
Feihren aimed towards the soldiers from Wolfenstein kingdom, whom were still mindlessly attacking the turrets. Firing several shots, Feihren noticed something that was really weird with how this gun works…
"Base HP: 400 (-6,000)"
"Base HP: 400 (-4,000)"
"Base HP: 400 (-10)"
"Base HP: 400 (-400)"
"The damage is so… random?"
After attacking several enemies with more or less similar HP, Feihren had noticed a really conspicuous pattern, and it was that 'there is no pattern'. The black bullet would vary in size after every shot, randomly hitting different areas of the target. For Feihren, this was akin to a gun with really shitty recoil!
The first time that Feihren had used this gun was to topple a few trees or rocks here and there and he hadn't really noticed the randomness in the damage due to the system not counting the things he was attacking as 'enemies'. As for the highly inaccurate and random behavior, he not taken it into account for he had never fired it more than once in succession at any specific target.
Feihren's 'different' plan for the use of the third fragment would really come in handy this time. Equipping his subclass, [Firearms Engineer], he pulled out a few of those blueprints that he had received after the sudden 'blackout' back then.
Within those blueprints, Feihren took out a few [Special Part Blueprints] that were for attachments. He then made his way to the now fully furbished workshop. Old man Yeshua had directed him to this place. As Feihren's party had decided to rest in this village today. Old Mendi had warmly accepted and prepared their temporary housing.
In the workshop, Feihren had been thinking about the proper parts to fix the Demonic Carbine's issues. First, he definitely needed a muzzle break and a tactical shock in order to fix the issue of the massive recoil.
If he was planning to create gun attachments and not the gun itself, Feihren had a better subclass to use, the [Alpha Gunsmith]. Although it sounded more domineering, there wasn't very much difference between it and the [Firearms Engineer].
The [Alpha Gunsmith] was something that would definitely help you in terms of having a better chance with the RNG [1] as it gives the entire process a higher success rate. The higher your proficiency in this subclass, the easier it would be to make the attachments and parts, making sure you would have the most optimum result, in the most efficient way possible.
The [Firearms Engineer] on the other hand, is used for custom gun manufacturing and improvement. It gives the user the entirety of the knowledge needed for one to produce a gun out of the materials provided.
Feihren equipped the subclass [Alpha Gunsmith]. Unlike last time, he did not pass out. Instead, he felt that his muscles and bones felt really hot all of a sudden, but the feeling dispersed a few moments later. It would seem that the 'proficiency' part of being able to create amazing parts in one go would relate to one's body having the 'memory' to create it again and again, and not the brain having to think too much about it.
The items he created were the [Stallion Muzzle Break] & [Stallion Tactical Shock]. The attachments were finished in a single try! The usefulness of the subclass was evident by the results, as Feihren immediately proceeded to the next phase.
He had hypothesized that the gun's body was now in possession of two portions of consciousness, but with a singular entity, which was being held back by the extreme supply of life force surrounding the carbine itself. So what would happen if he were to create an attachment that was also strengthened by general exp before infusing it with the third fragment?
Feihren continued working within the workshop throughout the afternoon and ended up creating a third attachment, the [Tri-horn Stallion Spitfire Scope].
'Finally, he didn't succeed in a single try, but took almost 20 before this bad-boy finally showed up. Feihren had never made such a complicated scope in his life, which caused him to have the lowest proficiency in creating one.
After he got the shape down the way he wanted, Feihren infused the scope with his 'life-force' as the green light started to envelop it before it was absorbed. He immediately brought out the huge dark sprite that was floating within his inventory as he carefully placed it in the reticle. Immediately, Feihren attached the scope to the Demonic Carbine as to make it something that was "one" but not technically "together."
"Human, what is this thing? Why do feel stronger… yet somehow still feel…weak? This is odd…"
The Ancient Demon Lord was shocked as to see that the third fragment had 'fused' with him, but the green force that was stopping him from getting out seemed to be even stronger now.
"Don't freak out, I made something to ensure that you won't go rogue even with you getting stronger," Feihren replied with a grin on his face.
"Why don't we test you out now?"
Feihren immediately went out the workshop, haphazardly using the scope as he peaked far and wide across the village. But to his surprise, something was functioning differently than he had anticipated as Feihren muttered…
"This isn't a scope… it's… X-ray vision?"
Feihren had beads of sweat appear on his forehead.
'Now this is what I call "Demonic"…'
