"What did you just say?"
One of the kings within the Blaz Continent group immediately reacted. The others had deep frowns on their faces as they were taken aback at what Feihren had just said.
"Ah, let me clarify my statement then. I'll be taking over the Wolfenstein Kingdom myself. It's more of a transfer of power really." Feihren had immediately dispersed the "confusion" by bluntly repeating what he said. "And before you think that I broke our deal, all I ever said was 'I'll seize the Wolfenstein Kingdom'. I never said anything about handing it over to a bunch of greedy clowns… I'm not receiving anything from all this anyway, right? Might as well be the new king…" Feihren continued as he glanced at the Bainzen Emperor.
In truth, Feihren would never burden himself with becoming a king, this was just too troublesome of a role for him to handle. But letting these people suffer under another set of bad rulers would just be further torture for them. If it had been bad for the entire army with all of King Louie's issues back then, how would the Blaz Continent taking over the entire Wolfenstein Kingdom just so that they could plunder more resources be any better? It would not only be bad for the military, but it would also endanger the citizens of the Wolfenstein Kingdom. This was not something Feihren wished for.
He never hated the Wolfenstein Kingdom in the first place. He only disliked the foolishness of the royalty and nobles. The citizens of the kingdom had never shown any hostility towards him. It was actually closer to the opposite. He had actually found a few friends in this kingdom, such as the dwarves. Though, technically they are not residents of the Wolfenstein Kingdom anymore.
"You dare?!"
The arrogant looking emperor of the Bainzen Empire retorted as he cast a fireball towards Feihren. The fireball did not even get close to Feihren before a gigantic figure appeared in front them, proudly standing forth as a shield to all the people around. Samael had reached over 4 meters in height after he leveled up a few more times back then when they had attacked this eastern stronghold.
The fireball dissipated as it made contact with the shiny red giant. Samael's sudden appearance startled everyone. 'A sentient ore was following someone's orders?!'
"Anyone tries to make a move against us again and he'll start smashing..." Feihren warned the group of kings as he pointed towards Samael. The other kings had gnashed their teeth in anger as they could not carelessly do anything for now.
Feihren turned his back as he signaled for the Wolfenstein generals to return, but in the next instant the 3 Bainzen mages channeled a restriction spell towards Samael. As the red giant was tied to the ground, the other knights that were from the Bainzen Empire immediately charged towards Feihren, who was still facing the opposite direction. The arrogant emperor himself joined the melee as he charged with offensive spells already prepared in his palms.
The sudden attack caught everyone off guard. Even King Samson himself was shocked at the fact that most of the people in the group were actually under the command of the Bainzen Emperor. The generals facing Feihren had paled as they saw the incoming attacks. They did not have enough time to reach Sir Feihren and defend him. But a smile appeared on Feihren's face while all this was happening, as if saying, 'Do not worry, I knew it would come'.
'Why is this world full of arrogant people...?' Feihren sighed as the attacks from the knights had reached him. Too bad they weren't using high grade weapons...
[Pallas Skin] Activated.
Feihren slowly turned back towards the rushing party as he also grew in stature, 'Titan Arms'.
*Boom! Splat!
The knights that attacked Feihren first were immediately squashed in an instant. The mages who were still restricting Samael had lost their focus from surprise at the bloody scene that appeared and thus failed to pin down the red giant any further.
Samael immediately charged at the mages, pounding them into paste before turning back to the people that were attacking Feihren. It was such a gruesome scene that the other kings within the group had already fled and brought along every single one of their people. The other kings immediately followed suit.
The remaining enemy, the Emperor of the Bainzen Empire, had frozen in place due to fear as he turned to attempt to run away, but to his dismay there was another gigantic figure blocking his path. He could not help but scream in fear.
"Ahhhhh!"
*SPLAT!!
Two fists from different directions landed on the emperor as he was squished mercilessly. It would be an exaggeration if one were to call the body of the emperor 'lifeless'. A paste would be something that inherently does not contain life, but this would be the best way to describe the current state of the emperor right now.
Feihren glared towards King Samson in the distance, as he retreated after witnessing this scene.
This cemented the fact that Feihren was a powerful being, which made the hearts of the Wolfenstein generals flutter as they could foresee a greater future for their Kingdom.
...
A few weeks after the coronation of the new king, King Feihren of the Wolfenstein Kingdom.
The supposed uprising back then did not go as they had expected. When they returned from the eastern stronghold, most of the royalty, including King Louie the 3rd, had seemingly vanished. They were no longer in the castle or even seemingly in the capital as far as anyone could find. Some of the nobles that had close ties with the king back then had suddenly disappeared as well.
The news of the exploitation the royalties had been doing to the people within the army had reached the ears of the commoners and every other citizen of the kingdom. This gave rise to the popularity of a man that had been rumored to have ended everything by killing off the corrupted former king.
Feihren was able to obtain the throne easily due to the unanimous decision of the entire kingdom. But he was not satisfied by being tied down within this kingdom alone. Perhaps it was due to his adventurous nature, but the whole royalty thing bored him to tears even after only a few weeks. It hadn't been easy for him to learn the ways of handling a Kingdom. He was not some figurehead this time. Instead he was actually trying to reform some of the crude ways within the system and used the extensive knowledge from his previous life to help.
Although this was a good thing, Feihren did not find this 'fun'. Although responsibility is good, once in a while you crave for something different from the same old thing.
A few weeks ago, right after his coronation, he had already anticipated that this whole 'being a king' thing was not his slice of pie. It was not that he doesn't know what to do. It's just that it's holding him back from exploring this large and unusual world he now found himself in. So he had called an 'old friend' of his to participate in all this and become his Prime Minister, Marvin Mendi.
Being a former general, Marvin himself isn't new to the whole 'leading others' thing, but handling the affairs of a whole kingdom was another story. However, when Feihren had asked him to do it, he literally couldn't say no... After all, this was Feihren that was asking a favor from him... It was the one person that none of the dwarves would ever dare to offend, including himself.
It was then decided that the Prime Minister was to handle the internal affairs of the kingdom, while King Feihren himself was planning to travel around the continent to 'entice other kingdoms to trade' with them.
Although it sounded legitimate, it was a quick and easy excuse that nobody would think of immediately except for Feihren himself. If one were to inspect it closely, the positions and roles should have definitely been swapped! But none of the residents, or even the officials, said anything...
These past few weeks were the most peaceful times the capital has had in recent memory! It may be simply because the return of the garrisoned soldiers immediately decreased the crime rate, but it was all due to King Feihren's 'loving guidance' that they had returned safely.
It was then set that King Feihren would venture out for a month or two to seek out business negotiations with the neighboring kingdom.
"Does everyone agree to the Kings proposal?" The Senate had been in a meeting about all this.
Everyone in the Senate hurriedly nodded in unison.
