Chapter 109 - CHAPTER 109 : THE LEGENDS RETURN

Deep within the lowest, most heavily secured catacombs of the amphitheater, the rest of the team rematerialized in their respective private quarters. In Beat’s rest chamber, the air was still heavy with the pungent smell of ozone and scorched stone. The immense rush of adrenaline that had fueled his brutal dropkick and the subsequent execution of the monster was now slowly beginning to subside. Beat sat bare-chested on a stone bench, white-blue sparks of lightning still dancing sporadically across his conditioned muscles. The tension surrounding his body was palpable; the air crackled audibly with every movement he made. He looked down at his trembling fists. The activation of his Rajin Volt earring had elevated his entire physiology to a terrifying new level. The brutal, high-voltage magnetic charge he had just summoned to atomize the monstrosity felt pure and boundless, but he knew this awakened form exacted an immense toll. He closed his eyes and inhaled the hissing air, savoring the spectacular impact of his return.

“Damn, that hit the spot!” Beat laughed aloud to himself as a bright spark snapped loudly from his shoulder against the stone wall. “Bring on the finals! They thought I was gone, but they aren’t nearly ready to survive this voltage!”

Meanwhile, a few rooms away, the atmosphere was completely different. Jeshua and Kaelid sat in their own quarters, utterly consumed by a paralyzing shock. Kaelid stared blankly at the stone walls, his breathing still shallow from the heavy spiritual pressure of the cosmic monstrosity that had nearly ground them to pulp.

“Did you really see that, Jeshua?” Kaelid whispered in a hoarse, trembling voice. “That thing… it just rose from the ashes again as if our attacks were nothing. We were as good as dead. If Beto hadn’t been there with that insane lightning…”

Jeshua kept his trembling hands pressed tightly against his head, his sacred halo still completely extinguished and gray. The brutal escalation of the monster and the sudden, surreal appearance of Beat were traumas their human brains simply could not process yet. “I don’t know, Kaelid. My light… it just refused to function. The spiritual pressure of that monstrosity was too great. I couldn’t even breathe, let alone fight.” Neither of them spoke another word after that; pure mortal terror remained deeply anchored in their bones.

Above the complex, high upon the colossal, floating central stage, the air suddenly shifted. The Hype Man stood with his arms spread wide before the millions of spectators when a massive, invisible ripple surged through the atmosphere. It was a pure, mythical wave of energy broadcast directly from the highest conclave. The wave struck the Hype Man square in the chest. His entire body stiffened with a violent jolt, his eyes rolled completely white, and his hair stood straight up as a telepathic message was forcibly pumped into his consciousness. The pure, divine information flooded his brain, and the vibrations caused the stones beneath his feet to pulse.

With a sharp jerk, he pulled himself together. His eyes flashed back open with a flaming, possessed intensity, and the arena’s magical audio systems exploded with a deafening, metallic thud that resonated to the core. His voice pierced through the entire arena with insane, theatrical energy, carrying across the millions of spectators who were still shaking in their seats after the massive slaughter that had torn hundreds of contestants apart:

“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! FIGHTERS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER! THE RECONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE!” roared the Hype Man, his voice cracking terrifyingly hard with pure, raw hype-style energy as he wildly gestured toward the colossal grandstands to whip the crowd into a frenzy. “Due to the unprecedented, bloody chaos and the brutal eliminations that have shaken this arena to its very foundation, only FOUR ULTIMATE GROUPS remain out of hundreds of glorious fighters to battle for absolute, eternal glory! Look to the screens and behold the gods of the arena!!!”

The giant, floating crystal screens illuminated with a blinding flash, displaying the remaining factions in brutal, blood-curdling graphics that burst across the glass with loud explosions:

“First faction: Absolute spiritual purity combined with brutal, boundless corruption! The two supreme leaders of the Monks, alongside their most lethal, Buddhist-aligned disciples! An invincible army of pure, iron discipline!”

“Second: The deepest, most terrifying nightmare of this mythical world! The faction of the Corrupted Child! A murderous horde consisting of the most deformed monstrosities, cosmic entities, and treacherous cowards who sold their souls out of pure, sickening mortal terror of total destruction!”

“Third: Risen directly from the oldest primeval mythos of creation itself! The Four Legends of Shinto! Izanagi and Izanami, flanked by the brutal, all-annihilating power of Malaka and Kali, along with her bloodthirsty sisters! A divine collective of pure, unadulterated destruction!”

“And finally, the absolute, unpredictable dark horses of this entire tournament: The legendary group of Aurelius, Silarias, and Beat—who just returned with a bang—fighting here under their terrifying arena aliases Photo, Flamo, and Beto, flanked by the surviving warriors Kaelid and Jeshua! The untamed team of unknown Nobodies!!!”

The Hype Man caught his breath, his chest heaving wildly as the telepathic wave still echoed inside his mind. He practically spat into his golden microphone from pure, uncontrollable excitement, his vocal cords nearly tearing as he threw the news over the millions of ecstatic listeners:

“HOLD ON! BREAKING NEWS DIRECTLY FROM THE HIGHEST CONCLAVE! THE MYTHICAL CHESSBOARDS HAVE SHIFTED! Due to the immense, otherworldly, and all-threatening power of the Corrupted Child, the two Corrupted Monks have officially merged their forces with the Child’s horde! This creates an intolerable, illegal imbalance in this arena… AND THEREFORE THE AUTHORITIES FROM ABOVE HAVE DECIDED TO ISSUE A JUDICIAL VETO! TO RESTORE BALANCE WITH BRUTE FORCE, MALAKA’S ENTIRE GROUP IS IMMEDIATELY MERGED AND ADDED TO THE TEAM OF AURELIUS AND SILARIAS!!! THE CARDS HAVE BEEN SHUFFLED AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! THE FINALS OFFICIALLY AND MERCILESSLY BEGIN NOW!!!”

The Hype Man’s announcement had barely lingered in the vibrating air for a fraction of a second before the entire arena exploded into visual madness that shook reality itself to its core. The massive, floating crystal screens above the complex began to flicker wildly, pulsing with terrifying, raw energy. Graphics of pure destruction slammed across the glass with brute force; golden Shinto lightning from Malaka’s faction clashed live on screen against the deep blue and pitch-black auras of the Nobodies. Flashes of light shot through the amphitheater like lasers, while the sky above the stage turned blood-red and deep purple from the spiritual fusion beams representing the new teams. Millions of spectators simultaneously lost their minds. The grandstands shook as if a heavy earthquake were tearing through the foundations; a wall of sound—formed by hundreds of thousands of roaring throats, stomping feet, and ecstatic cheers—slammed like a physical tidal wave against the stone walls of the catacombs.

“Look at those screens!” a spectator in the front row screamed, pointing wildly at the flashing crystals. “The Shinto gods are merging with the Nobodies! This is going to be an absolute slaughter!”

In his cold, stone rest chamber, Silarias stood motionless before the giant widescreen display anchored to the wall. Beneath his heavy, ash-gray robes, his heat barrier held strong, but his pupils narrowed into sharp slits as he watched the live graphics shift. On the screen, Malaka’s gold fused with his own dark gladiator icon with brutal force. A cold, dangerous grin formed on his face behind the flickering ash particles.

“Let them come,” Silarias growled in his heavy, mechanically distorted voice, the heatwaves in front of his face pulsing more violently. “This is exact escalation I hoped for. The pressure is being pushed to the maximum. Now we will see who truly remains standing when the smoke clears.”

At the same time, spread across the deepest inner sectors, the rest of the merged alliance reacted to the telepathic shockwaves. Malaka stood high in his palace-like quarters, arms tightly crossed, while his golden energy struck the stone walls with a hissing and crackling sound. His gaze was cold, calculated, and lethal.

“The conclave has spoken,” Malaka said in an icily calm voice, the gold in his eyes burning brighter. “If we must merge with the Nobodies to pulverize those corrupted monstrosities, then so be it. My lightning will pave their path.”

A few rooms away, Jeshua collapsed to his knees with a thud, his hands pressed tremblingly over his face. The thought that they were now directly linked to the destructive power of the Shinto gods caused his restored halo to flicker intensely from pure stress.

“This is too much, Kaelid!” Jeshua exclaimed, his voice cracking from the tension. “The Shinto gods? We’ve just been thrown into the center of a cosmic war! My light… it can barely take this pressure!”

Kaelid, staring with wide eyes at the ceiling where the vibrations of the arena pressed through, clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white. “Keep your composure, Jeshua! We have no choice anymore. It’s sink or swim. If we have to fight alongside gods, then we fight alongside gods!”

Aurelius, still sweating profusely under his Photo disguise in the corridors, clutched his chest sharply as his icon lit up on the giant screens. His breath caught in his throat; the tournament had just turned into total war.

“Damn it… you’ve got to be kidding me,” Aurelius whispered, looking around at the walls vibrating from the massive cheers outside. “The whole arena is watching us. There’s nowhere left to hide.”

Yet deep within the most heavily secured catacombs, inside Beto’s ozone-filled room, the reaction was pure gold. Beat was still sitting bare-chested on the stone bench, blue-white high voltage pulsing across his heavily trained muscles, when the Hype Man’s words pierced through the thick stone walls. Instead of shock or fear, his eyes burst wide open, and he erupted into a loud, frantic laugh that echoed like a thunderclap through the entire space. He leapt up with an explosive motion, sparks popping loudly off his feet as he threw his fist into the air with brute force:

“DO YOU HEAR THAT BLITZIE!! THE MORE THE MERRIER!!”

Right beside him floated Blitz, who at this moment was nothing more than a small, cute electric cloud. The little cloud pulsed cheerfully, emitting soft blue sparks as it drifted calmly through the smoke-filled room. Beat leaned forward with a broad, wild grin and began feeding it his own pure, crackling electricity, carefully regulating his awakened Rajin energy.

“Here, take this, fatty!” Beat shouted with a laugh as the blue-white high voltage streamed directly from his fingertips into the core of the cloud like thick, hissing cables. “Eat your fill, we’ve got an entire arena to wreck!”

Blitz thoroughly enjoyed the raw electrical energy, which tasted to him like the most delicious, pure meal he had ever had. The little cloud greedily absorbed the bright electrical surges with loud hissing sounds.

Thanks to that delicious, pure nourishment, the shape of the cloud suddenly went wild visually. As Blitz drew the high voltage deeper and deeper into his energetic core, the misty energy began condensing and expanding at a breakneck pace. The transformation hit with brutal force; bright, blinding flashes of light exploded from the center of the cloud, and the outer edges of the gas rapidly took on the clear shape of a canine creature built entirely of pure, pulsing lightning and dense mist.

It was a spectacular and terrifying sight: a dog-like manifestation of pure, living electrical gas, complete with flashing ears of blue light and a massive snout that crackled and sparked intensely with raw current. Large bolts of lightning shot synchronously from its misty body, carving craters into the stone floor of the room. Yet despite being made entirely of destructive lightning and smoke, the creature was so excited that it began wagging a tail of pure, crackling electricity, while its eyes lit up like two bright, blue-white spotlights.

“Look at you, ready to roll!” Beat roared, giving the canine lightning cloud a hard, friendly slap on its side, triggering a loud electrical discharge. “Those finals are going to be ours, Blitzie! Let them come!”

The suffocating purple mist hung like a thick, poisonous shroud over the transformed inner sector of the amphitheater. Every trace of natural light had been wiped away; there was only a chilling, dead vacuum where even the laws of physics seemed to decay. The magical microphones along the giant arena had completely blown out from the earlier spiritual impact. They emitted nothing but a hissing, crackling static that slammed against the eardrums like physical pressure. Outside the barrier, it was total chaos. On the massive stone walls surrounding the battlefield, thousands of spectators, gladiators, and master monks rammed their fists, swords, and magical staves against the impenetrable purple barrier in pure panic. They screamed at the top of their lungs, stomped with brute force, and desperately tried to breach the locked field to flee or fight. But their heaviest strikes failed to leave even a scratch or ripple on the corrupted cosmic shield.

Suddenly, the giant speakers above the grandstands began to glitch and pop violently, after which the Hype Man’s voice cut through with a crackling, terrified, and hoarse tone: “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THIS IS COMPLETE, TOTAL ANARCHY! THE MAGICAL SYSTEM IS REJECTING ALL COMMANDS FROM MANAGEMENT! EVEN I CANNOT INTERFERE WITH A SINGLE SPELL AT THIS MOMENT! THE ENTIRE INNER SECTOR AREA IS COMPLETELY LOCKED DOWN FOR THE NEXT THREE HOURS! IT IS A DIRECT QUARANTINE! WE ARE TRAPPED IN HERE WITH DEATH!”

In the middle of the rotten flesh floor, which pulsed slowly like a living organ, Silarias forced his burning, undercover form as Flamo upright through sheer willpower. His knees creaked, but his gaze was ice-cold. The pitch-black ash particles hissed aggressively off his glowing armor in thick flakes, scorching the viscous substance under his boots into deep, gaping holes from which a pungent sulfur stench rose. Right beside him, Beat tried to recharge his Oni form. He clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned white, but the cobalt-blue high voltage flickered irregularly, weak and unstable under the intense, suffocating spiritual pressure radiating from the floating Child. The tension was razor-sharp. They looked around with sharp focus at the utter ruin on the ground. The once mighty and invincible Shinto gods lay completely motionless, mutilated, and knocked out in the deep, cracked fissures of the floor. Izanagi and Izanami no longer moved; their glorious golden-white auras, which had illuminated the sky moments before, were now completely extinguished and swallowed by the rising darkness. Aurelius spat a thick wave of dark blood onto the ground with a loud curse, wiped his mouth roughly with the back of his arm, and reclaimed his Photon Ninja stance with trembling yet iron-strong muscles.

“This isn’t ordinary possession anymore,” Aurelius growled, his voice shaking with adrenaline while his sword vibrated in his grip. “This is eating away at reality itself.”

Without warning, the entire ground beneath their feet split open into hundreds of deep ravines with a terrifying, seismic noise. Out of the pitch-black, bottomless depths of the largest central fissure rose a terrifying, giant figure. It was a legendary crusader of the prince, clad in heavy, historical plate armor that was now completely corrupted. The metal was blackened, smeared with pulsing blood and thick strands of viscous purple energy. But the absolute horror lay in his movements: the crusader no longer possessed any willpower or control over his own bones. Thick, pulsing cords of pure dark energy hung from his elbows, knees, and neck like the strings of a sadistic puppet, reaching straight into the sky where the Child floated motionless. He was being horrifyingly puppeted by a demonic, cosmic monster entrenched deep within the shadows of her soul. The deformed creature brought its mechanical, gaping grin into view and raised its massive, darkened sword above its head with a violent jerk.

“We don’t yield an inch!” Silarias roared, his voice distorted behind Flamo’s mask. “Beat, now! Give her everything we’ve got!”

The Nobodies refused to bow to this cosmic threat for even a fraction of a second. With a flawlessly synchronized look of pure desperation and raw synergy, they pooled all their remaining energy into one all-annihilating combination attack. Beat forced every remaining drop of Rajin Volt current in his nervous system outward—his veins glowing bright blue under his skin—and hurled a giant, cobalt-blue lightning beam straight forward. The little cloud Blitz lifted itself with a screaming rotation, caught the immense beam in its center, and acted as a colossal, hyper-charged magnetic coil that amplified the voltage and amperage a thousandfold. Simultaneously, Silarias launched himself forward at explosive speed. He clenched his massive fist and slammed his dark, burning ash flames directly into that hyper-charged lightning stream with a majestic strike. An apocalyptic, black-blue fire tornado erupted, causing the entire air in the arena to explode. The heatwaves and electrical surges drilled straight into the floating Child with brutal, deafening rotation speed.

The impact blasted a deep crater into the ground and the flash of light blinded the VIP boxes, but hope was instantly shattered in the most brutal fashion. The ultimate attack failed completely. The Child took the all-destroying, glowing tornado head-on against her fragile body, but the thick purple energy surrounding her absorbed the total destruction as if it were a soft breeze. She didn’t push back even a millimeter; her hollow, black mouth remained floating cold and motionless in the icy mist, undamaged and untouched.

The Nobodies stood heavy-breathing in the thick, settling smoke, momentarily paralyzed and speechless because they truly didn’t understand what had just happened or what on earth they needed to do next to break this monster. Their ultimate trump card had simply been swallowed whole. Silarias looked over his shoulder at the heavily battered figures of Jeshua and Kaelid, who stood behind them with bloody faces and broken armor. A sharp, strategic, and ruthless look formed in his eyes. A daring, insane idea took shape in his mind.

“Jeshua, Kaelid…” Silarias said in his heavy, deep Flamo voice, trembling with suppressed tension. “I damn well hope you held back a trump card. Because otherwise, we are all history.”

To his absolute surprise, both fighters stood dead still. Despite the pure cosmic horror and approaching death surrounding them, a friendly, deep, and knowing grin began to appear on their faces. They both stared Silarias straight in the eye and gave him a confident wink.

“Just one thing, yeah,” Kaelid growled in a heavy, gritty voice through his stone helmet, tightening his grip on his shattered shield. “But believe me, it’s a damn good one.”

Silarias didn’t hesitate for another microsecond. This was the perfect timing, the absolute turning point of their entire journey. He immediately reached out with his heavy, ash-covered arms and grabbed Beat and Aurelius by the shoulders, shouting with a powerful, commanding voice that thundered across the entire battlefield: “It’s time! The restrictions are coming off! Everyone here learned what they needed to learn during this infernal countdown, and from here on out, we can develop the training ourselves using our own brute strength! Abandon the disguise! Show them who we really are!”

Beat looked down at his own flickering hands, realized what was about to happen, and immediately burst into a loud, nonchalant, and arrogant laugh, his Oni horns crackling wildly with regained energy: “Wait, hold on… MUSIC?! We’re finally dropping that beat underneath?!”

Aurelius and Silarias looked at each other and burst into loud laughter right in the middle of the bloody ruins, completely throwing off the tension: “Yeah, yeah, you get your music, asshole! I’ll be the lion again, and you do your own thing, Aurelius!”

They stood there literally cracking jokes and laughing with one another amidst the cosmic horror, relying purely on their unbreakable, brotherly bond and the raw excitement of their true, uncensored power.

High in the sealed VIP boxes and across the chaotic grandstands, the Hype Man couldn’t comprehend what was happening. He grabbed his hair in pure frustration, leaned over the railing, and screamed hysterically through the glitching speakers: “BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES?! THEY’RE STANDING THERE LAUGHING?! HAS THE CORRUPTION COMPLETELY EATEN THEIR MINDS, OR HAVE THEY JUST GONE COMPLETELY INSANE?!”

In the enclosed box, Nicola, Apollo, Nyx, and Jane held their breath with pounding hearts, while the little ones, Miki and Ren, watched with wide, glistening eyes as the atmosphere on the field flipped like a switch from pure desperation to absolute dominance. Cilla and Lyn pressed against the glass, mouths agape.

Aurelius and Silarias looked at Beat, gave a firm, synchronized nod, and then reached out with a fluid, powerful motion to grab the shoulders of the utterly stunned Jeshua and Kaelid. With a brutal, majestic pull, they tore their entire magical disguises as Flamo, Beto, and Photo off their bodies. The illusion ripped apart like old paper.

“We are not Beto, Flamo, and Photo!” Silarias roared, his true, majestic, and terrifying voice carrying like a thunderclap through the entire, colossal amphitheater. “We are the Guard Elite Unit, and I am the Landlord alongside Nyx!”

Jeshua’s eyes widened in pure ecstasy, and he instantly began screaming at the top of his lungs: “I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT FROM THE VERY FIRST MOMENT YOU WALKED IN! THE LEGEND IS REAL!”

Kaelid, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on; his stone helmet fell off with a loud thud as he stared bewildered at the true forms of his comrades, but his deepest instinct of pure, knightly loyalty took over instantly. Without a second of hesitation or asking a single question, both fighters immediately bowed deeply before the three legends, their knees hitting the stone floor with a loud, dull thud.

The Hype Man was now completely losing control over his vocal cords, screaming hysterically into the microphone, his breathing heavy and panicked: “BOWING TO THEM?! HUH, WHAT KIND OF REVOLUTION IS THIS?! WHO ON EARTH ARE THESE MEN?! THE ENTIRE HIERARCHY IS COLLAPSING!”

At that exact moment, massive magical explosions detonated all around the Nobodies. A brutal, solid wall of pitch-black smoke, flashing lightning, and pure energy filled the entire inner sector, completely obstructing everyone’s vision. When the smoke cleared under a heavy atmospheric gust of wind, the undercover disguises were gone definitively and forever. Silarias stood there in his true, terrifying glory: ready as a black-flaming, lion-like warrior, his claws razor-sharp, his eyes glowing like burning embers, and his entire body wrapped in an aura of pure, royal destructive power. Aurelius stood right beside him, his form fully transformed into a blinding, intangible photon manifestation of pure, fluid light that pushed back the purple mist. Beat stood ready on the other side in his brutal, cobalt-blue electric Oni form, while the little cloud Blitz transformed into a massive, pulsing ring of pure high voltage floating with loud crackles behind his broad, muscular back.

At the sight of this divine, brutal transformation, Jeshua’s eyes lit up completely with a supernatural, intense white-gold light. His entire hair broke free from its ties and began to glow brightly like pure, liquid gold. His feet detached from the rotten floor with a loud shockwave as he floated slowly but relentlessly up into the icy air. Suddenly, a giant, bright beam of pure spiritual energy shot straight out from his chest into the sky, tearing right through the purple mist and the barrier. A blinding flash of light exploded high in the clouds, after which a monumental pillar of divine light plunged straight down like solid gold, landing squarely upon Jeshua’s floating body. The entire air vibrated and hummed as golden, sacred scriptures and Buddhist mantras appeared all over his body. His hands illuminated completely with the blinding force of a young star, and his feet glowed with unreal, divine energy that melted the shadows away.

At the same time, Kaelid fell backward with a heavy thud, straight into the splitting floor. But instead of plummeting into the depths, the ground burst open with seismic, deafening violence. Large boulders and slabs of pure granite shot upward, merging together with loud creaking and clattering stone force. A massive, colossal golem rose from the depths of the earth, formed entirely in the exact, brutal likeness of Kaelid himself. The golem stood tens of meters tall, constructed from heavy layers of mythical stone, glowing runes, and massive armor plates. In its giant stone fists, the golem held a monstrous, razor-sharp katana so vast that it cast the entire arena into shadow. Stone splinters flew everywhere as the giant sword sliced through the air with a loud hissing sound, and it opened its mouth: “SHOW ME YOUR POWER!”

The legendary Guard Elite unit had fully resurrected—stronger, more brutal, and more epic than ever before—ready to initiate the absolute, all-devastating final showdown of this tournament against the Corrupted Child. The Hype Master slammed his golden microphone against his own forehead with such force that the magical crystals inside the device began to flicker, after which he screamed at the top of his lungs and completely lost his mind over the speakers:

“WHATTT?! THE LANDLORD AND THE LEGENDS?! BEAT, AURELIUS, AND SILARIAS ARE IN THE HOUSE!! THEY ARE THE TRUE GUARD ELITE UNITS! THE MASTERS OF THIS ARENA!! THE TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN STOLEN WITH BRUTE FORCE BY THE HIGHEST RANKS!!”

The sound of the Hype Master losing his mind live on the air hit the sealed VIP box like an all-destroying atomic bomb. Miki and Ren’s frantic cheers died out in an instant, suddenly completely drowned out by a heavy, iron silence that sucked the air right out of the room.

Jane and Nyx stood as if petrified, pressed against the thick glass, their fingers turning white against the windowpane. They looked down at the field, and for a brief moment, they looked at each other with an expression that started as a nervous, utterly incredulous smile. It was the pure, absurd discharge of their brains trying to process the insane situation. But that smile froze instantly and died on their lips. Within a fraction of a second, the mood in their eyes shifted completely. The jealous, wounded rage over missed opportunities and blatant lies exploded in their eyes with a violent thud. They looked each other dead in the eye, and full-blown angry frustration went straight through the roof.

“He… he can’t be serious,” Jane blurted out, her voice shaking with deep, seething indignation as she slammed her fist against the glass. “Aurelius was standing right in front of my face this whole time?! I was lying on top of him, damn it! I was literally lying on top of him to protect him!” She spun around toward Nyx, her neck veins bulging, breathing heavily out of pure, jealous spite. “And he couldn’t even give me a tiny smooch?! NOT EVEN ONE TINY SMOOCH?! I was right in front of his face!” Her purple shield energy flashed aggressively and unstably across her knuckles from pure emotional shock.

Nyx’s breathing hitched completely, her royal aura flaring up into a deep, pitch-black storm of pure moon shadows that spun wildly around her wrists. Jealousy and pent-up rage burned in her eyes as she heard Jane’s words and looked down at her own husband, who was now standing there laughing so arrogantly and triumphantly.

“He kept us believing we were complete fools, Jane…” Nyx hissed, her voice now an icily toxic whisper that instantly dropped the temperature in the VIP box. “A hundred thousand percent agreed! I was standing there too, right in front of his face! And he kept his ground behind that ridiculous Flamo disguise! Absolutely nothing! Not even a smooch! They secretly sat out the entire countdown, made us stress out so they could complete their training, and now that black-flaming lion is down there playing the hero?! The moment we break out of here, that arrogant grin is the first thing I’m slapping off his face. He is going to pay for every single missed second!”

Down below on the rotten flesh floor, the transformed Child remained floating motionless in the air, her hollow, black mouth wide open, while Kaelid’s giant stone golem samurai raised its katana and Jeshua’s divine light tore open the sky. Silarias’ black-blue fire aura and Beat’s cobalt-blue Oni high voltage clashed with brute force against the purple mist, ready to destroy the entire inner sector, completely unaware of the murderous, jealous storm of pure female rage gathering terrifyingly fast right above their heads.
